That would be nice. They've done 20% off before.
What ridiculously expensive prices they have.
Importing from America is expensive, it's just how it is. They tend to have cheaper prices than other places when it comes to American products.
Importing from America is expensive
Ridiculously expensive
Not all products are cheaper, you can get frenchies Mastard at supermarket for about $3, I used to buy this from USA foods for about $5.
Stuff is still a rip off, they must have big profit margin.
Yes, expensive.
But you can buy Hot Sauces by themselves much cheaper off Ebay, or even from local Latin food importer sites.
Depends on what your after, some basic stuff like drinks/sauces/confectionary can be had cheaper especially when your taking into account postage v ease of buying items at a store, but they do also sell some nice stuff you can't get instores, like good Oreo's…. Just no stock at the moment :(
Why USA food? Arent Aussie foods better?
Different, not better.
Do they have Australia Foods in the US?
Yes. When I lived there I often ordered Vegemite and Tim Tams online.
Not sure why I got 4 down votes LOL. Apparently saying Aussie food is good offended some people.
yes, but apparently people like artifical, fat loaded usa stuff cos its cool somehow.
They got some drinks with best before date of July 2014. Are they buying short dated stock for cheap to sell, or are they just buying too much and can't sell them in time? If the latter, why not control the ordering to match the sales and just buy less?
I'm still waiting for them to get Crush Cherry back in stock. The last time they had it, the best before date was 2013.
They've had some serious inventory issues for as long as I can remember. Literally like two thirds of all items on the website are either out of stock completely, expired, or expiring very shortly. You'd think after so many years they could come up with a system to avoid this?
It sounds so basic too. If the first allotment of product didn't sell, then they should look at how many they sell a month and order accordingly. The next shipment should be a lot smaller.
That is unless they are knowingly buying stuff that has shorter than usual expiry date at a discount to them.
Agree, sounds like they are buying cheap short dated stuff and trying to sell at a premium.
given that the AUD has fallen by about 20% in recent months vs the USD, this is hardly a 'discount'
they don't send the stock from the US…
Yeah because they do have a say in the exchange rate.
Any good deals people suggest? Dr Pepper was popular with them, but 2litre for 5bucks at IGA is now a better deal.
I mainly get spices and the gingerbread cookie spread speculoos. I find that drinks just cost too much to ship and you can get most drinks from local shops these days.
YES, but do they still keep talking on the phone and ignore you while you are standing there trying to pay for something?
geez, a lot of there stuff is past the best before, some is well past. They are still selling
Jack Daniel's Honey Smokehouse BBQ Sauce 19oz with best by July 2013, yep almost two years past the Best Before.
Its only a $1.99 sauce in the US so nearly $7 here and two years past the best date!!
10% off isnt a deal at all.
and it is cheaper at http://usamilkbar.com.au/Does this place have a physical store? Website is down atm.
Strange it was fine when I looked.
The message says their store in Prahran is still open .
They should give you 20% off if you select the winning team (promo code)
