Very good price for the water filter jug "Brita Marella Starter Pack".
The added value only for the extra three filters and the bottle is over $35. For the price of $24 Kmart customers will buy goods valued at over $60 by the current RRP. Two models are available at the same price: "Marella Cool" 2.4L and "Marella XL" 3.5L.

Sorry! Voila, it is updated!
Thank you. This is good one too but you pay the RRP for each item and no guaranty for success at the draw.
I am not saying this is a bad deal but why not just get a puratap?
It basically costs nothing to use, the filtered water is on demand so there is no need to let it soak through a jug when you want some water and you dont have an expensive jug to replace when it breaks.
I am sure the puratap would pay for itself fairly quickly.
You can get a replacement jug from brita for free if you broke it. By the way, heard from a friend that Myer currently has a promo on Maxtra catridges. Normally $10 each, you can get 5 for around $30+.
Roughly how long does a filter last?
Manual says 8 weeks, based on the hardness of water in Germany.
@TimeOrMoney: So going by the normal price of $5 per month for a brita
A puratap is about $120 to have installed.
So after 2 years the puratap has paid for itself.
Puratap has no filters to be thrown away each month.
Freighting/making/disposing the filters on the brita has a much larger environmental impact than what a puratap will have.Just my thoughts
@anthony: How much are the annual filter changes for the Puratap?
From their web site: "Plus you don’t even need to remember to change the filter – Puratap will contact you once a year to organise a replacement for you. It’s so easy to keep your Puratap operating in peak condition."
@team teri: I dont replace mine every year because our tap water is already clean, i have found that the filters will happily work for 2-3 years before they need replacing (you can tell as the water flow starts to degrade)
I dont know how much the filters are from puratap however from bunnings they are about $20
@anthony: Same applies to the jug filter. German water is much harder than Melbourne water. Should be able to stretch at least 12 weeks from the filter, perhaps more. Further, it's not restricted to one tap.
Both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Yoinks.
Supper-seeded model. The new ones are more quality built and don't scratch the table on the bottom. Nice find I suppose though.
Perhaps the title can be updated with the price, at least.
