For those who love having breakfast. This is cheap! ONLY $12.00 per person and the variety is great. We really enjoyed this buffet breakfast this morning. Would definitely go again and again for the next few days. The special is only during the Tennis season.

    Fried Rice for breakfast?!

Sounds like an Asian breakfast, especially with congee too!

They're looking at the non-western market. Your text above also shows congee!

      Hi guys,

I think most hotels now have these options because of the increase of Asian tourists in Australia. In fact all hotels I have been to and had breakfast from, had all the fried rice and rice porridge. Some even have some Indian food and others have some Japanese stuff. Great bonus! Yum yum.. :-)

"Enjoy a traditional Australian full buffet breakfast"

I kinda inferred that, but its the above which had me bewildered. Since when did fried rice and congee become "traditional" Australian breakfast?

Just going through their website, and found the above. This explains why they have those stuff I guess..

They should probably call it something else, hey?! :-) But I don't care what they call it, it's still a great breaky for $12.00… You could eat as much as you like compared to other places where you pay so much and it hardly fills you up. The pancakes are really good too! :-)

Is it any more ridiculous than having bacon and sausages for breakfast?

    • It is actually a Thai restaurant, I think they can be forgiven for serving a few Asian dishes.

      • +1

From memory, the Breakfast is run by the hotel. I remember asking the staff a while ago. We were trying to make a booking for dinner and we were asked to call in the afternoon when the Thai people are there. Breakfast is run by the hotel but not the lunch and dinner. You might want to visit their Website to just double check. I don't know… :-)

Fried rice is delicious for breakfast. Try eating breakfast outside of any Western country and you'll soon find your staple foods much different.

Asians live longer. They eat rice and not bacon and eggs.

      • But do they enjoy the longer life more than I enjoy bacon?

The original price is $16.95, about 30% off now.

I would love something like this in Sydney. With the kids, breakfast is the only meal worth going out for as there is plenty of choice for them…
last time we paid $40 or whatever for the Hilton, buy one get one free. Totally worth it but not $12 :(

  • Do you have to stay at the hotel in order to be eligible for the deal?

    • Hi there,

No I don't think so. It is open to public. It is also on their facebook page, advertising for people who are not staying with them. :-)

  • just wondering, is that full price for toddler under 4?

    • Hi there,

Sorry, I have no idea. You might want to contact them regarding that before visiting. I don't think they would charge for little kids. See how you go. :-)

The city parking is a killer for me. Either try gobble as much within 1 hour (1 hour street parking is $5.50/hr now) = $17.50 for a breakfast…or take my time in a 2P spot and pay $23.00 for a breakfast… :(

      Get a lift/bus/ride your bike

    • Try the free app Parkopedia, it lists all the off-street parking near your location along with prices.
If you go on a public holiday the metered street parking in Melboure CBD is free, you just have to stay within the posted time restrictions.
Or you might be able to use the free city trams from your parked car (though I'm not sure where the boundaries of the free travel are).

$12 for breakfast is considered cheap these days? I can get lunch or dinner for half the price…

    • +2

What does this include? 6 KFC grilled chicken tasters do not count.

There's actually a place in Kallangur (Brisbane QLD) that does a $6 big breakfast…

OP are you associated with the business? You seem to have a lot of insider info, and you're greeting everybody.

    • Then go and have lunch or dinner :-)
