WVH28440AU
Else where have WVH28441AU for $1400+, the only difference is WVH28441AU has a brushless motor. (credit to SickDmith)
Recently bought the 7.5kg washer WAS28461AU , extremely quiet, even in spinning, very happy. (this model might be a bit louder)
Would recommend

Reviews aren't so favourable
but you should know productreview.com.au is for people to complain.
did some basic research and bosch has the highest rating over LG and Samsung. Why ppl downvote this. It is widely known that what motivates ppl to write reviews is to make complain, if there is no popularity or 'karma' or any sort of 'profit' involved that could be gained by the reviewer.
This is why many websites introduce some sort of popularity contest to make reviews more favorable towards the products, eg. karma/points, or "Is this review helpful?".
@stevarja:
I guess some people don't agree with second part "bosch has the highest rating over LG and Samsung"Anyway, you should ONLY buy a washer dryer combo if you do not have the space.
@nbn: check the average, I'm not lying. Plus personally trust German stuff, even though its made in china.
7.5kg/4kg Samsung WD0754W8E for $749 at Masters and Appliances Online, $699 at Countdown Deals. $1198 "red hot deal" at JB Hifi.

http://countdowndeals.com.au/samsung-wd0754w8e-washer-dryer-…Is countdowndeals any good? =s - I was actually looking for a dryer and washer combo and at 700 thats pretty good isnt it?
Shipping to me in Perth is ridiculous, but if you're in Melbourne and can pick it up, then it looks like a good deal.
Thanks mate I live near countdown deals shop and my washer just died. Perfect timing!

wvh28441au difference over wvh28440au is brushless motor - quieter, more energy efficient and a bit more reliable.Ok that might be important to some ozbargainers…such as in apartments etc.
I got the WAS28461AU which is very very quiet, i would assume it has a brushless motor. The quietest wash machine I've ever seen…Yep, I believe EcoSilence Drive is the brushless one.
dont know how this EcoSilence is compare to the LG DirectDrive.
but anyway all I can hear is my cloth dropping inside the drum, nothing else…I can second that.
This uses water in the dryer mode? Whaa? How and why? lol
0 litres, I've seen some dryer washer combo do consume water, varies from 5-15L I think from memory
For those who just want a washing machine, the WAS28461AU that OP mentioned also comes with a $150 rebate from the Victorian government. Not sure if other states are offering the rebate. That would bring the price of the WAS28461AU to less than $1,000 from a few retailers.

yepyep.
Well, people gonna say u can buy a 8/8.5kg LG or Samsung with that price!
The reviews of early failures and Bosch's service were consistently appalling. Enough to put me off.
