    Ratestogo.com / Cheaptickets.com has 20%, not sure how they compare… (but i think they are both the same parent owner)

    secondly waiting out for Accor Hotels 40%/50% sale which usually is about now …

        Has anyone used cheaptickets before?

        Read reviews online - seems fairly daunting to deal with them if any sort of issues arises - though I only plan to book a hotel for 3 nights with them

      If comparing, I would use 17% off on HotelClub calculation to allow for the 7% HC rewards earnings rate. Also remember Cashrewards $15 rebate for Booking.com bookings.

        It's only 7% (not sure if 8% still applies) if you use the Mobile App AND are a PLATINUM Member

        Otherwise you are getting (Website / Mobile App)

        Silver: 3% / 4%
        Gold: 4% / 5%
        Plat: 5% / 7%

    So the members rewards is a cashback, but it has to be used on a subsequent booking?

      2 different things.
      There is the cashback, through 'cashrewards' however their site states that for HotelClub, if you use a promo code, you may not get a cashback.
      And then there is like a members rewards. Hotels.com has members rewards too. However with Hotels.com when you use your rewards credits, you do not accumulate rewards for that booking, and also you need to have 10 nights of stay credit to be able to do a redemption booking. I am pretty sure that with HotelClub you can use your credits at any time, and you also accumulate credits on redemption bookings.

        So either way, when booking with hotels.com or hotelclub.com, the members rewards can only be claimed on a subsequent booking?

        I guess this won't really be helpful for me (in the immediate future) since I'm looking for a "once-off" booking.

          Yes that is correct. However you just never know, so, if you find an equally priced hotel elsewhere, you might as well go with the one with rewards. OR Try Booking.com through cashrewards for $15 rebate.

          The good thing is with hotelclub if you have a promo code you get the instant % off and you also earn member rewards, hotelclub has been very competetive in the many times i've used them as well.

    Tried one hotel cheaptickets w/ 20% is 13$ more than HC with 12% off, as cheaptickets calculates Taxes and fees separately.
