Might want to add that it's for PC

    • +2

he did that's why it has Origin on brackets.

      • +2

It didn't originally. Check the revisions.

    • Might want to add also that all 4 titles were considered disappointments, massive ones in some cases. I personally loved ME3, but I can understand the hate over the ending.

      • I'm sure you'll start some debates with BF4. Not with me though as I'm on the COD side.

        • COD rarely goes on sale though, and even when it does go on sale you'd expect to pay about $30~40 for the base game and then you have to consider the DLC's because without them you can't join certain lobbies.

Not to mention the game has no dedicated servers and the cheating / aimbotters goes undetected.

I could go on about what is wrong with their game design and business model but even BF4 has it's own share of problems, but that I can stand because BF4 is at least catering to the core PC gamers, whereas the COD developers just made the game for console and forgot all about the PC version.

BF4 was released really buggy anyone can tell you that, now they have finally ironed out all the bugs and it's an awesome product. On the COD side the latest CoD (Advanced Warfare) is once again lacking dedicated servers, anyone's guess if they will ever patch them in officially or not (most likely not though). I believe Advanced Warfare was on the Steam sale for $52USD the other day.

@Agret: Yeah but DS3, MS3 and Medal of Honor unequivocally suck. BF4 took a hell of a long time to redeem itself and is still unexplainably worse compared to BF3 in a lot of gameplay mechanics.

The Origin: We're Very Sorry Bundle should be the title of this deal.

        • @Agret:

All the BF games from BF1942 onwards have been really buggy at launch and eventually patched to work properly. :)

        • BF4's problem had nothing to do with CoD. It was released in a broken state and took a long time to fix.

It's ~ $17 AUD via the Mexican Origin store:

Thanks for the tip, there goes some more money on games I may never get to :P

Worth noting that, as cheap as Mass Effect 3 regularly goes, there's $50 US of story DLC (some of which is vital to make the slightest bit of sense out of that awful ending), which never ever ever goes on sale ever. Ever.

At this point I'd say it's a better idea to wait and see if there might be a Mass Effect HD Collection for current gen systems that includes all the DLC.

I sincerely doubt that. Simple economics dictates that Bioware would probably halve it's profits by combing individual DLC packs; they've rarely if ever done that before.

      • Agreed. I don't think any of the Mass Effect trilogy packs include DLC. The closest they ever went was bundling some DLC with the PS3 release of ME2.

    • +1

They are looking into that. It could take a while though. But if EA likes the smell of green, they'll just once again exclude the DLCs like they did for the trilogy collection so far.

They give you the base game at great value to hook you in, and then you will pay it all back through DLC which you won't be able to resist.

  • Shouldn't this be in Gaming?

    Desperate, die origin die!

    • You very dramatic

  • So a question for the BF4 players.

I followed the link which led me to look at BF4 by itself rather than the deal with the four games (I already have a couple of them). But there's a heap of different BF games, can someone confirm that the premium edition does not contain the game itself but only various add-ons? Which means I have to buy the basic/deluxe version PLUS the premium version to get the unlocks etc.

    • +1

BF4 Premium is an add-on, and cannot be used by itself. You need the base game first.

If you're buying the pack of 4 games, this is what you will need to get to get access to all the DLC content.

BF4 Premium Edition is the base game plus the addon.

If you're only after BF4 this is what you'll want to get.

  • Can anyone tell me if BF4 multiplayer is still buggy? THat's why I didn't buy it a year ago. Wondering if that's changed since.

    • +2

Its like 90% good now…I still think its not poorly optimised compared to BF3. My machine regularly gets locked up playing it and I need to hard reboot :s *edit: when it works though its great fun

    • Its much better now than it was a year ago!

Netcode is not much of an issue. However I still have bullet register issues sometimes. The game itself is now polished. However, I dont think it will ever be as good as BF3 was!

    • THankyou guys.
