Time to use my $9 received from the price guarantee credit!

    • +1

Supercheap have won my vote I think the price guarantee credit is fantastic and you get the money credited within the 1st day of a sale normally.

    • how does this price guarantee work?

      • Scan your club card when buying anything from SCA

If the item goes on sale (I think within a time frame, maybe indefinitely, cant remember) you get the difference back as credit e.g Buy item A for $100, it goes on sale for $80, get $20 credit.

Next time you shop you can use that credit towards purchases (bit like a gift card really)

        • thanks mate

  • Is Turtle Wax better than the typical run-of-the-mill Armorall one?

    • +5

At this price point of the market all the products are about the same. They do clean your car and are better than just water.

    • Ninja turtles use turtle wax! That should be a good enough reason

  • Good deal

  • anyone know of any good car wash machines/devices?

can we use pressure washer + brush attachment to wash our car?

    • Check out Karcher website

      • yes I am asking if pressure washer would scratch/peel off paint?

or if we attach a brush head, it would be safe?

        • +1

I don't see how water pressure would scratch or peel off paint unless the paint is already falling off. I'm sure someone here has used one and will be able to add a more helpful comment as I have never used one :) I have used a brush and that works fine but it's very soft bristles

        • Boar brushes are the best and even they will scratch. A pressure washer is more paint friendly than any brush

Car wash purests would advise using a hose without a nozzle at all, as pressure beating down on a surface that you are carefully prepping and cleaning cant be good.

but for the average person using a pressure washer is okay, as long as you keep it not too close to the paint surface. ie 1 metre away..

Best to use a lambswool mitt instead of sponge/brush. Sponges are abrasive, brush would just move around the dirt/sand causes more stratches. Lambswool mitt will pickup and bury any contaminants into its pile. Make sure you use 2 buckets one for soappy water and the other for rinsing mitt. When water gets dirty empty in the middle of washing, empty and refill.

Dry off with 100% cotton terry towels if you can.

You can get more carried away with more processes.

        • @darkage: I am not an expert, but I like to use a micro-fibre mits or cloth. I also reckon a "silicon" type brush, if they existed, would be good too.

        • For drying the car afterwards, forget the chamois cloth. What you need is a waffle weave microfibre cloth - absorbs much better!

        • @marcozmitch: Never tried microfibre mitts.. I might try one day see how it works out. .

Theres alot of debating online - http://www.tyresmoke.net/forum/topic/116742-deep-pile-microf…

  • Hmm I wonder if this is silicone free..

  • really good deal, thanks

  • Supercheap is starting to become like Bunnings… You never really need anything, go there for a look around "just in case" and always buy something :D
