Yup. Aussie Made. I have one of their Leather sleeves as well as a leather carry bag (they match) and i'm 100% happy with them. The bag is looking a little worn after 4-5 years (it gets used daily and I also travel a lot), but i've had a lot of compliments at how 'simple' it is. Great bags.

also don't know much about the brand, but interior pics looks to be of decent quality, the detailing on the inside show they put some thought into its construction.
although lame taglines like "matches my fixie" means its targeted at gen-y hipsters and not really for the working class :P

The Fitzroy, especially blue with black (fake) buckles should be fine unless you have a problem with the hipster look. They are listed under gifts for men on the official site fwiw.

Obviosuly because their is a massive discussion people feel insecure about it. If thse bags where "manly" people wouldn't being trying to prove a point everytime one goes on sale.
Certainly doesn't look feminine to me. How more masculine could a messenger bag look? It is plain, simple in design and very practical. I have seen many guys wear satchel bags in and around Melbourne … those that aren't clutching briefcases or hippy type bags usually wear satchel bags.

Macbook Pro Retina 13" is actually smaller than the Air 13" (the Air is thinner of course).

Thank you for posting. Will ask son when he returns tonight if he would like a new satchel type bag. The black with brown buckles looks like a manly type of bag to me, and I think the waxed type of canvas material looks totally ideal.
Interestingly enough when I first clicked on the bag there was a choice of 3 colours so there was a Khaki one. Out of interest was the price though at $149.95(TFS-0913-G). The black at $29.99 does appear a good bargain at store pick up. Just online with them now and advised store pick up option has "been disabled because of low stock but you can purchase instore with no issues." So, I gather if your local store says it has stock it should have.
Son currently uses a black Caribee departure / satchel type bag that safely secures his iPad2 in folder and Nintendo 3DS and an assortment of cables etc. Great every day as well as a carry on departure bag, to keep hands free. I did not buy this but traded points on the Qantas frequent flyer site. Bag has come in very handy (many zips inside and out) for many years with no sign of wear although it appears not to be of as durable material as the Toffee bag. Grabbed a green one from my local in Coffs. Should be a great carry on bag as I travel light.
The guy serving was very wary of the price as they had no marking to indicate a discount.

Just picked up a black one from O'Connor WA. My macbook pro 13" fits nicely in it. There was another black and a navy one still left when I bought it.

Yeah, I ordered another one which was listed as being in stock after my first order was cancelled and had to call them up two weeks later to find out they were out of stock and had "forgotten" to process my refund.
Looks decent enough, but the RRP are a tad crazy, no wonder they are on clearance.
