  • Good price, Cheapest in staticice is $279.00.
Selling in ebay for around $230.

  • +2

It's $244.50 including delivery, store pickup price would be $328 - might be worth updating the title

  • Is the memory expandable? How does it rate against the current crop of GPS units in the market?

    • Nope no memory expansioin or memory card slot.
This ony has 1gb internal memory storage and 64mb ram.
Latest Australian maps are 120mb in size

  • Store pickup is (at least in theory) $328, but I managed to get them to pricematch themselves and so it is possible to get it for $228. It's almost certainly at the discretion of the individual store though. Probably best to ring first.

My understanding is that the memory is not expandable, but that it is still a very good GPS, particularly at this pricepoint. You'll need to convince yourself of that though, I don't actually know from firsthand experience. Checkout the wikipedia entry for tomtom and you'll get an idea of the differences between the models.

    • Can I ask which store? I tried Parramatta Westfield they said they could not price match it.

      • Indooroopilly in Brisbane. It may be a bit of a drive :)

        • Oh cool, that's my local store. :)

Will try them tomorrow, hopefully they will do it again. Will report back.

    • Thanks crumble for the info, don't have much experience with GPS, may be my early Christmas pressie!

  • Does it have Advanced Lane Guidance?

    • Natively, No.

  • Is this better than a NavMan My50?

I can get one of those for $299…

    • tomtom is the best gps in the market if you are into "modifying" things.

  • good deal but old model new model is 399 as well rrp

  • Order placed. I went to my local DS, and they don't stock XL.
I guess it is a superseded model as the new one is XL v2. But at that price who cares.
I hope that Tom Tom will let me download latest 2009 map. From the description, it comes with 2008 map pre installed.

  • I placed my order plus shipping, total $244.5 ($228 + $16.5).
When I received my item, the invoice changed it to $250.72 ($234.22 + $16.5)
I checked my Bank balance, guess what, it is $250.48
I am going to call them to solve this out tomorrow, has anyone face to the same thing like me?

  • Ordered on 14 Oct. Item hasn't arrived yet
