Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reach for the last one they had — but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way!

Out of that, a new holiday was born. "A Festivus for the rest of us!"

        • +7

No offence, but this holiday is a little brrrrrpbeeeepbrrrrpbeepp out there.

        • lol just finished watching Seinfeld again… awesome!~

        • What happened to the doll?

    Yo Yo Ma

  • Tempted to get this…

Does anyone know if there's a blu ray release?

    • +1

Not availoable on blu-ray and I doubt it ever will be. People have been wanting this on blu-ray for years.

      • Cheers bud!

        Guess I'll just get this.

      • +2

I think eventually there will be a blu-ray release. Just will wait for like 25 year anniversary or something. Which would actually be next year. If you go by when the show started.

        • Thanks mate. Ended up price matching at jb hi fi. Couldnt wait until next year haha.

        • 7mate currently airs episodes that have definitely been remastered. I think they are waiting for the right time to release- which looks to be that.

        • I have the HD quality which was released in the states…

        • @Polde:

All the Seinfeld episodes that have been remastered to widescreen have been cropped to fit the full wide screen 16:9 aspect ratio. Always preferred the original 4:3 full screen over any 16:9 cropped aspect ratio, which these dvds thankfully are.

Same goes for all the Bond films playing on TV that have been zoomed and cropped to 16:9 full screen to remove all the black bars from there original wide screen aspect ratio.

The wire is available in target for around 63. A must watch if you have not already seen it

    • I'm hanging out for the blu-ray release.

  • has the video been retouched/HD or is it the same as when it aired on TV?

  • will watch this whilst eating pretzels

  • It was cold

  • Not quite a record low, but nevertheless OP should update to inform people this price makes it $0.31c per episode which is a great bargain! SERENITY NOW!!!

  • I have been waiting patiently for this price drop all year since i missed the last time.

The special features on the DVD are hilarious, learning what real-life occurrances that happened to the writers that inspired these crazy stories.

Such a good deal - thanks OP. You've made my day!

Watched this series again a couple a months ago.

I think Seinfeld has a certain place in people's hearts that were born in the 70's and early 80's that Friends has for those growing up in the 90s and noughties. Good TV for watching whilse drunk :D

  • When are they going to release a bluray?! I have all their tv episodes on DVD + copies from usa tv that are remastered. Just need to complete my collection

  • Only a couple of years ago I watched an episode of Seinfeld and was hooked, I had the pleasure of being a latecomer of watching every episode from the very beginning to the very last one. Simply brilliant :)

  • These pretzels…. are making me thirsty.

  • I remember paying ~$150 from memory when this first came out a long time ago. EASILY worth the <$60 it is at right.

    Sanity still exists?

    • +1

That was my thought. Looked at the store locations and all are basically in regional areas. Now I know who is against the NBN FTTP.

      • +1

Ah. Could be a matter of geography/demographics as well as income levels. They tend to be old school too anyways. May not be many DSE, JBHiFi there too. But once they do arrive, then Sanity will have competition and less sales/margin.
