Canon PowerShot SX700 $219 (after $50 Cashback) + Delivery ($2 to BNE) - The Good Guys

80

Hi, guys,

I was looking for a good price on the Canon SX700 and I found that The Good Guys have it on sale for $269 + $2 (delivery to BNE) - $50 (cashback) = $221. There is also store pickup option.
Great pocket camera for a decent, low price and its only flaw, in my opinion, is the lack of GPS.
Dick Smith has it for $239 + delivery (after $40 discount (coupon 40HOHO) and $50 Canon cashback).

Short description from Canon Australia website:
Combining Canon’s leading lens innovation with an expertly engineered slim, compact body, the PowerShot SX700 HS is ideal for capturing your special moments in the quality they deserve. Packed with a big 30x zoom for superb long distance close ups, the SX700 HS delivers sharp, high quality photos and vivid Full HD 60p movies. Sharing your adventures via social media is also simple thanks to integrated Wi-Fi with NFC support

  • Its gone as low as $179. Yes i know its not available now but about $250 without cashback has been a standard price for this camera.

    • was even lower during the eBay 15% off sale

  • 30x zoom on a compact is terrific. IS stabilization too.

  • Which one looks better here - http://www.dpreview.com/products/compare/side-by-side?produc…

Current $219 [TGG] vs $259 [DSE] [After cashback]

    • +1

you're comparing apples to oranges mate..

obviously the 1200D will be much better in terms of image quality.. the SX700HS is better in terms of portability.. (I have one and a 700D - the only reason I would use the SX700HS is for concert videography)

  • Hmm, thanks for your input. I have very less knowledge in it, looking at the side by side comparison, it gives me impression with powershot as better option. That's why asked here??? :)
