I think you have mistaken "Cash Off" for "Cash Back".

This is a "Cash Off' discount, where you pay the discounted rate upfront, you don't receive the difference later.

    • Thanks

  • I wouldn't pay that much for a dual core CPU. If dual core is all you need, then a normal Pentium will suffice. 8GB RAM is overkill too. With memory prices these days, I'd rather save the money and only get 4GB.

I don't think this is a spectacular price.
For a given manufacturer (especially Dell), they often sell the same thing in a different case with a different model name at a massively different price. I have had many Dell laptops, from bottom-end to top-end. Although Dell's bottom-end laptops are noticeably "cheap-ish" in quality (and also compromise on other things), I do not find that Dell's expensive models are worth more than a similarly specced laptop from a different brand.
This one has a dual-core low-voltage i7; for this price, I would expect at least the quad-core full-speed model (4710MQ or similar). Screen resolution is also the lowest you will find.

You're better off waiting for the 20% off eBay Big Brands this weekend and check Dell's eBay stores (and those of others, e.g. The Good Guys).

    • can you please suggest some decent specs laptop .will be used for some casual gaming and youtube.

  • Depends on your needs but you could probably buy cheaper.

  • Not even close to a good buy. Too big too heavy terriblescreen painfully slow hard drive tiny battery for terrible battery life no gigabit bad build quality bad touchpad bad keyboard loaded with useless software making it slower no displayport and mail in warrantty.

  • Thanks for your input. My knowledge about computer specs is limited to ram and hdd. Can some one please suggest a good model to buy on eBay sale?.

Shall we move this to the forum then? Because he does have a few genuine queries there.
