Not sure what you mean, are you comparing? I'm not saying this is a great deal but some of us need more memory space than a nexus allows. Its a massive neg from me for no SD slot.
@Where's_That_Cake: It's true. I have M7 and it's really great except for once every month or two I run out of space. An SD slot would make it 100% better.
What I get is a nonsensical price comparison …
Old OS? Pretty sure kitkat update will be ready to go on checking. And poor CPU is really a subjective call. But price is great for a fantastic looking phone and what really is a middle of the road performance (currently) phone.
M7 has had Kitkat for quite a while and will definitely be getting Lollipop.
Additionally this CPU and GPU is more than capable of running most apps and Android with really only high end 3D games such as Real Racing 3 or Asphalt 8 being an issue.
I think it's good value.
I had this phone (silver colour), then I upgraded to Note 4. I still sometimes hold the htc one on my hand just to admire the build quality and how good it feels to hold. Considering the fact HTC confirmed Android 5.0 OS upgrade for this phone, this is a good deal.
From what I've read the newer CPUs such as in the M8 are more efficient. You'll see improvements in battery life. I doubt that you'll see great improvements in usability. The response is instant as it is. Ugly? The M8 is getting rave reviews for its design and the M7 and M8 look almost identical. I'd love a M8 mainly because of the micro-SD slot. Check the price difference though.
