I just bought my parents flights from Melbourne to Dehli flying Thai Airways, departing 20 January and returning 6 March. Flight cost was just under $650 each. There were plenty of flight dates offering this fare: departing from 18 January to 25 January; and returning 1 March to 10 March.

I didn't check anymore dates, but I am sure there are other dates available with this fare.

Flights are via Bangkok. I managed a 1 hour stopover on the way to Dehli and a 3 hour stopover on the way back. But you can book a stopover up to 40 hours, if you want to stay a few nights in Bangkok in either direction.

I think this fare sale is on for other Asian destinations, but I did not do any further searching as I thought the Ozbargain community could start posting the best deals from the sale.

    I called Thai Airways and advised the low fares were due to the error in their website and the fare didn't include the tax so there is no heavy discount like $650 one way.
    They are currenlty fixing the website and due to that it's not working, once fixed you won't find the crazy low prices anymore :-(
