i really don't see why you would buy this. $5 speakers would produce the equivalent sound, and would not have the dangers associated with sleeping around cables

That would make sense.
People bag COTD because their servers die on occasions like this.
However the volume of people coming to the website are massive.
Even big companies like ticketek have their servers crash when a large concert is on sale.
