How does this work? I got the email this morning, placed order for over $260 and there was no free shipping. It was going to cost $47 shipping. it doesnt actually say free shipping to Aus. Am I doing something wrong???

    • When i added $100+ to cart and went to checkout it offered an express service or a free delivery.(after i selected my address)

Was there anything in your order that might have been classed as 'oversized' ?

Interesting my email says free standard delivery when I spend over $100 Australian dollars. It doesn't actually say free international delivery but you would think stating the $ as Aust dollars implies delivery to aust. But my cart is showing shipping too.

    • weird, i added a pair of shoes, selected my AU address and got:
      Etail - Express Service - 08
Using the Etail - Express Service, Your order should be with you in 6 working days £13.99
      Etail - Standard Service - 08
Using the Etail - Standard Service, Your order should be with you in 10 Working days. Free

and like you i was hesitant, until i noticed the AUD part which implied to AU addresses.

  • Nothing oversized, just a pair of football shoes for my son and the rest clothing. I had no option for free delivery. I sent them an email earlier today. They have acknowledged receipt of email and stated they would respond within 1-5 business days. I will keep you posted. I recall last xmas they had the free international shipping a couple of times and i ordered criket bats, tennis rackets etc and it was all free. They had it advertised in a banner on their main page last year where this time I cnat se anything on their site……

  • Also don't trust the shipping times, since they moved from DHL it is heaps long. My last two orders were nearly 4 weeks.

  • Had a few items and clicked the secure checkout button. Then saw this -

How would you like to pay for your order?

    ORDER SUMMARY
    6 items $80.98 (AUD)
    Delivery Free
    Total $80.98

The order total was > AUD $100. I was told some items out of stock and removed them from the cart. Then the total was down to $80.95, but it still shown free delivery. Do I need to buy more than AUD $100?

  • i buy a lot from there, never got the email.

Anyway two shirts in cart, 120GBP, no free shipping

    Etail - Express Service - 08
Using the Etail - Express Service, Your order should be with you in 6 working days
    $27.98

  • Getting back into tennis after a few years of not playing. Can anyone recommend a good racquet? I don't want to spend over $150 but don't know the difference between a $50 racquet and a more expensive one. Thanks

  • Merged from SportsDirect Spend over $100 Free Standard Delivery to Australia

SportsDirect now have an Australian website address & are offering free standard delivery on orders over $100. Not sure when it ends but good timing for Christmas. For those that registered previously with the SportsDirect UK website you'll have to register again for the Australian version. They sell brands such as Lonsdale, Everlast, adidas, Lee Cooper, Nike & many more.

First time posting a deal so hopefully I've covered all aspects.

    • Thanks for the note. imo $100 is a lot, particularly since they get the VAT (22%) back on their regular prices. I'll need to compare conversion rates.

Just for reference, Karrimor isn't the same brand you might remember (especially the oldies). It went into receivership and was bought out by sports direct. The quality is on par with kathmandu home brand gear. The Karrimor SF line is a higher quality (but you pay a premium for it) - AFAIK SF line is manufactured in the UK.

Your right it is a lot but I like their brands without having to pay the high mark ups at our local retailers. It's my once a year clothes spending spree and the free shipping over $100 is when I do it otherwise it's too expensive.

    • Couple of items on there for $1 - but when you need to pay $10 in postage for regular post - it takes away some of the shine off what is otherwise a great price…

shame about the free post being $100 or more… makes it less of an OzBargain

      • I should of probably put that the deal is more for those wanting to do some bulk Christmas shopping or updating their wardrobe. I'll remember that for next time!

      Thanks op! :-)

    • thanks OP. 8 t-shirts, 2 shorts, $18 delivered.

    • I think the title made this more popular even though it is pretty much the same deal.

    • This angle was more for the overall buyer. I only spent $10 on the $1 items as the rest of my spending was spread out throughout the SportsDirect website. I really like Lonsdale, Everlast and Lee Cooper as brands. In true OzBargain style my nephews think I'm spending a lot more on them than I am for their 'cool' brand name presents!

Good find OP. Pity "James" didn't have the courtesy of acknowledging your deal in his, unless it was happenstance.

    • Hi OP, I've mentioned you in the $1 Slazenger sale that I posted. How did you find this deal btw, just curious :) I got mine thru an email (received last night Nov 21 at 11:10 PM) with this link http://au.sportsdirect.com/rock-bottom-prices
