Yeah, the Samsung store had it at $929 and then a week later at $949 .. and then tried to get a pre-order deposit. Yeah, no thx. Never seen it sell for RRP only at a companies own store.

The overpriced plans subsidise the monthly charge for the phone. If you do the maths, it's almost always significantly cheaper to buy the phone outright.

What's new over the Note 3 besides a better screen and processor?
How's the battery life more importantly?? Haven't usd a note 3 but heard good things about reliability, functionality, and the battery. I'm thinking of switching from my s3 but yeah.. the size change in style, and the price is putting me off atm… Unfortunately the s5 which is a few hundred cheaper seems like a fairly stock standard upgrade to previous s3,s4's (well not earth shatteringly different if you get what I mean). Just the usual next gen improvements all round to brute power.

Because they're both very similar phones right. One is 3.5", the other is 5.7", which is 350% bigger than the ip4 in screen size.
