Pretty cheap, did a quick search on ebay and cheapest were around $50 but just the stand itself. This one includes 3 backdrops as well.

  Just be aware of the sizing as the pic is very misleading. Even the pic states 2m x 2m, but the cloth size is listed only 2m x 1.6m. Is probably only big enough for head and shoulders or single person full length.

    Don't have this specific kit, but generally with these things, you get what you pay for. The cheap light stands are extremely flimsy and the bar will not support much weight. Don't even think about putting some heavier duty fabric on, let alone a paper roll. Fabric can be annoying with keeping it crease free, and white specifically is also very hard to keep clean, whereas with a paper roll you can just tear it off. This site doesn't seem to have the best reviews either… That said, it is pretty damn cheap.

    Yeah you generally get what you pay for… I bought a cheapy kit off eBay and is ok for the odd use… but the stands normally struggle (I have a 3m x 6m backdrop on mine).. my is still ok but I ended up upgrading my light stands as with softboxes and the like they got too flimsy. Same as mentioned as far as creasing and the like… I ended up having to buy a clothes steamer and spend 30 mins prior steaming out the creases before the shoot. I notice some of the cheaper backdrops are also a pvc like material and the creases do not come out at all because you can't iron or steam it.

  I'd like to know what "non-woven fabric" is … and it would be nice to have a weight rating on the stand to know if it would actually support a large painted cloth backdrop (as they can be heavy).

  i wouldnt touch these for one reason - the fabric comes folded up and you will waste a lot of time trying to get the creases out unless they can assure you the fabric comes in a rolled up tube.
  the fabric the normally use is polyfin or a derivite of from memory.

    Are you sure the fabric is folded? It says it contains 3 tubes so perhaps one contains rolled fabric.

      i have previously brought one of these from a ebay seller.
      like i said, ask and see if they can assure you they are sending it in a roll.
      the 3 tubes you refer to are to hold the fabric in place - top bottom and front.
      worse comes to worse just go down to lincraft or spotlight and by some fabric off the roll and take it home rolled.

  Looks pretty small. Possibly weak. Best to put that money towards something better and wider OR buy two and get a nicer fabric that expands across both stands side by side?? Haven't looked at prices of better stands and backdrops yet.

    Maybe you should go back to watching children's shows, because it clearly says '1 x Green backdrop' in the description

      Yup same here. Black and white folded, no green, only two tubes.

      Doesn't particularly worry me personally but if had wanted green I would be annoyed
