'Refurbished' hmmmm that term seems to be replacing 'seconds' or 'returns'.
I was all excited for about 1/3 of a second. Bordering on sneaky the way the page is laid out. Oh, it's there alright, but kind small and kinda feint. Should be in the title.

I guess these are warrantee returns that have had an easy to fix fault repaired and been wiped down and re-boxed. But oh,not new.
      King Tightarse prefers factory fresh.
      Thanks for pointing that out.

put a price in the heading

Note that it is a refurbished unit though.

don't think it is any good deal, there were other $4xx posts on the NEW 11.6" netbook from Acer before and those are much better than this original 8.9".

Exactly, $419 I think after cashback for the 11.6" notebook with many more features.

Sorry, but -ve. Too much to pay for a refurbished netbook when newer, better ones are going for the same price or less.

I believe the 8.9 has gone for $379 in the past.

Look at this deal for $389 getting buried and flamed - http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/15675

      • Agreed, not an attractive price for a refurbished model.

"Buried and flamed" is somewhat of an exaggeration. While that deal was not especially well received, there were relatively few comments, only 2 negative votes (one of which was due to "please combined two posts into one") and the net score was positive so it remains visible.

        • Ok, I exaggerated a little :)

  • yeah or get this one

not the cheapest but its brand new with a 10.1" screen for $50 more plus free postage

  • I will more like 11" one. only $499 and it's brand new.

  • these were at HN last saturday for $348 on sale for super saturday, I don't like them I used them in store and the trackpad was absolutely useless!

make sure before purchasing you try the trackpads on all Netbooks. You'll see why!

  • For a refurbished unit and when you can get a perfectly new and better one for only $50 more this isn't much of a deal. I don't know where they got the $699 RRP for the unit tho … maybe when it was first out?

Sorry to negative your first post … but.

  • overpriced refurb plus sockpuppeting? neg
