Its a Noontec enclosure….not drive. Thats a Samsung.
Noontec I'd say are on par or barely better than generic……definitely not reknowned for anything I'm aware of.
Samsung 1.5tb hdds have good feedback though.
Question, can you remove the Samsung HD and put in another hard drive you have lying around? Is that possible?
Yes, you can take out the Samsusng SATA HD and replace it with your own SATA HDD.
Thank you for the great deal, danilochan. It beats staticice pricing. I've been looking at 1.5TB drives recently so when I saw your opportune offer I had to take the plunge. And it's great that you're not using Seagate drives especially. This time round, I'd pick a Samsung over a Western Digital.
And the warranty on the HDD itself?
Says 12 months warranty on shoppingsquare site but is that just for the enclosure or for both?

Cheapest price for this Noontec case on Staticice is $25, so the 1.5tb Sammy drive is only costing $124! I don't really need another one ATM, but damn I'm tempted at this price! ;)
