  how many joules of energy can this absorb. some of the 'surge protectors' can only handle tiny amounts. no info available online. anyone have one?

    What's there to 'do up'?. You walk in with receipt and faulty device in hand and walk out with refund or replacement. Simple. That's the advantage of buying from a 'reputable' bricks and mortar shop.

  I got one 2 weeks ago, plugged in iphone 4 and galaxy s4, after 10 mins iphone kept turning on and off and the top of the powerboard where the usbs plug in was really hot, rang crest and they advise this is an old model and can only handle charging one mobile at a time, they apparently have a new range coming out that can handle charging 2 mobiles, so took it back to TGG for a refund.
