Long live Nilfisk! The only reason I'm not jumping on this is because my 13 year old Nilfisk King is still sucking 'as new' and I don't need two vacuums. Stop Press… it even has a bag! How did we ever cope when vacuum cleaners had bags?!?! Oh that's right, we didn't fall for fancy marketing as much ;)
nil consumable cost isn't fancy marketing IMO.
The money you save by not falling for the marketing would easily buy a lifetime of replacement bags… unless of course you don't go for the big bagless brand and get a cheaper version.
Don't get me wrong… bagless does make sense in theory and the marketing is believable however it's what they don't tell you that bugs me. What happens when the bagless vacuum cleaner needs emptying? I want the marketing to show how quick, easy & dust-free that process is when compared to a bagged vacuum cleaner. This may not be an issue for some but for others who suffer from bad asthma this is a dealbreaker.
Bagless is why I stopped vacuuming! I hate clearing out the dust.
Point taken. A Dyson sticker is quite expensive.
@Steptoe: Got to admit, they do look cool tho and the DC35 'stick' vacuum is a great concept… even if it is bagless! Still not enough to make me upgrade my good ol' Nilfisk tho :)
But the thing is you don't even need a bag for this one. I have this one and i don't use a bag and all the dust/dirt doesn't go past the fabric filter/bag thing the bag is placed in. And i've had mine for 7 years, commercial cleaning every week with no problems whatsoever.

My mum once made a fabric bag that you could unzip and empty.

What they don't tell you is the you still need to change the hepa filter @ $20 a pop every year! lol..

I was charged 99.99 AUD and a 1 AUD on a separate transaction. But the recipt attached to the email says price is 110 AUD.
I got the $1 charge yes. Staples on hold message: "the price you see is the price you pay". Hmmm. Operator informed me that "no one has received a confirmation email" and that "Head Office is aware of an issue here" Furthermore, "it should be sorted by tomorrow - please be patient" No word whether my confirmed order will be honored.
