Pk 4 Wicker Solar Garden Lights - $4.72 (Usually $18.95) @ Deals Direct

111

Pretty good price for some solar garden lights. Just over $1 each. Bought 12 today. With standard shipping they came to $2 ea which is the same as the cheapest ones at Bunnings and although these are fake wicker they still look much better plus delivered to my door. Mixed reviews from buyers but for the price I have to give them a try.

    Gift5Oct14 for $5 off

  • Doesn't seem discounted to me? Has the price gone back to normal?

Pity, this is exactly what I've been after.

  • Yeah. It's gone back to normal now. :( Bummer.
They said the deal was ending midnight 26/10 so I guess that could have meant midnight last night. Is 'midnight' considered part of today or part of tomorrow?

  • So had these for about 2 weeks. Bought 8 in total, 2 doesn't even work (swapped out batteries to check). For one, the spike that push into the ground broke. Doesn't stay alight during the night and isn't very bright.

Would not recommend and currently seeking refund.

  • Yes I got 12 in total. One came without the spike and they are very cheaply made. But I think you have to expect that for only $1.18 per unit. I found if you push the spike into the ground first then place the light shaft over the top that works better. But I would certainly seek a refund for the ones that are not working. The brightness was ok for me. I just wanted to create some ambience around the garden but if you need to light up a pathway or steps etc then yes I'd get brighter ones.

    • Do you have to turn these off or something? They don't even light up at night anymore. Which batteries did you exchange them with??

      • To be honest, I've only had mine running a few days since I got them. Batteries are still going ok. They should have a battery you could replace easily enough (though the battery will cost more than the light). You would expect new lights to last a few months before needing to replace the battery but you never know if they've already been sitting in a warehouse for 6 months. If mine start failing and a change of battery makes no difference I will be sending them back.

      • And no you don't have to turn them off. They are light sensitive and only come on when it's dark enough. Are they getting sun during the day in order to get charged? We've had a couple of overcast days here in Sydney. If they are in shade most of the day they won't charge and hence won't come on at night.

  • BTW I just checked now and they are back at the reduced price again!
Better hurry though. Probably only good for 24 hours.
