Worked here on my existing account that had already previously been used to make multiple orders. Bought a Fred Bracks Men's Dylan Shirt Lilac Stripe (25% off in the cart but that extra $8 off with the coupon) for $12.04 delivered using the coupon. In my opinion not too bad of a deal.

I just tested. No the coupon can't be stacked.
But looks like you can use the coupon each time on multiple orders. But you can only use the coupon once per order. It's $8 off per order.
The email does say this "As our birthday gift to you, we are issuing all members with an $8 coupon* which can be used towards a purchase between now and the end of the year" which would indicate that the coupon is valid for all COTD members. They probably just hadn't got around to emailing all members yet. The coupon is valid until 21 December 2014 so looks like we'll be getting $8 off from COTD until the end of the year. Coupon seems to be working on multiple orders (well it redeemed on my account after i had already redeemed it on a previous order) too which is good. Although the terms says it should be redeemable once but doesn't seem so :)
So unless COTD decides to cancel the coupon then order up.

Should be ok if the coupon is redeemable on the upcoming Eneloop deal. It would be a deal supplied by Dick Smith and not directly offered by COTD themselves so it's possible that the deal might be excluded by the coupon.
You will be hard press to even be able to buy those eneloop at $10. By the time you manage to enter the coupon all the eneloop would have been sold out.

Supposedly the coupon is only supposed to work once per COTD member but it is currently working for multiple orders.
There is a limit of 3 uses per account apparently. I have maxed mine with my free shipping (as Club Catch member) :p

Yeah, it's a hassle looking for things now, items are all over the place and listed in multiple "events" and some events don't even have a end time like the "Take An Extra 25% Off In Cart" sale/event.
It's now a real cluster F***.
I was going to cancel/not buy anything from them after the security breach of their site and not telling people about it.
So I had no issues with using/setting up multiple referring accounts to get some extra credits.
I will stop buying from them once I have used all my credit up.

Yes, store credit gets applied first automatically, then you can apply a coupon code.

@knick007: Sign up using a referral link above. After you make your first purchase you will reeive the $10 store credit. A good time to make your first purchase will be during this deal where there will be some good items available with free postage. Then you should be able to use your store credit to make yet another purchase with free shipping eg Eneloop batteries
Don't make too many orders though using the coupon or they might cancel them all if you get too greedy. I only made 2 orders.
The more orders you make the more chance that they'll cancel all of them once they realise the mistake and notice people are using the coupon to make many multiple orders.

You seem to think 2 is fine, others might think just 1 is fine and not greedy, then other people again might think 5 or 10 is normal for them.
Yeah i mean if you make 10 orders might be seen by COTD as a bit excessive. It's all about what COTD might think is fine or not fine. This is after all what's supposed to be a one redemption per account coupon. I'm just saying the more orders you make the less chance they might honour it. So say making 2 orders may be a safer chance.

Are you logged in? I got that error until I logged in.
I did one order as follows:
Item cost $9.99
Shipping $7.68
Disc -$8 (BDAY)
Total $9.67
Not sure why yours didn't work, as they are very similar, unless you didn't login as others have said.

I sent an email accepting the credit however there was a slow response and by the time that was done the price increased by $28 for the 4.
