LOL good timing considering the Thermomix just won Choice's Shonky Award.
Maybe Bellini will release a new model next week.only because if price
Actually shonky award was they did not tell anyone about the new model. Choice has not raised any issues regarding the price except that the new better model was only $50 more and they kept it a secret from purchasers of the old model.
We are on our second bellini. They are good, when they work. Getting a thermomix soon.
I will be really angry if Bellini announce a new model after I purchase this.
We got one a few months ago for about $20 less than that. It works well. The quality of the plastic is pretty bad. It can't go in the dishwasher and it's hollow without a closed seam so can easily get waterlogged. The rubber that protects the electrical connector pins where you stick in the jug broke in 2 of the 4 holes within 2 weeks of us owning it.
Would I rather get this than a Thermomix? Hell yeah it's better value. Would I buy it again? Probably. My wife gets good use out of it. It's strong enough to make pasta dough.
