      Hi Boxbox

Yes it will work on both as long as the phone is unlocked.

Used one of these (from a different reseller) on a recent trip to the U.S. Had good coverage from T-Mobile everywhere except halfway up the Pacific Highway between St Louis Obispo and Monterey. I live on my phone and used up almost the 5GB in two weeks .. but that was watching videos and tethering.

I paid $80 and was happy to do so. This is a FANTASTIC deal if you're heading to the USA any time before the end of January.

    • Thank you for the feedback

  • +1

This sounds like a good deal, I just came back from america and I paid $45 for unlimited local calls/only 5gb total (2gb 4g + 3gb 3g) if i recall correctly.

Having international calls + 5gb 4g is a huge bonus.

    • @exp1 Feel free to use us in the future!

  • Which sim is the offer for- because you have linked the $80 one.

Also, what is the relevance of including the travel dates, am I tied to using the sim between these days.
    Thanks.

    • Hi wbeer

Sorry this is for the $70 Option with the 5GB Data, we have updated the link. Thanks for bringing it to our attention

  • Damn you and you're expiry dates ;)

I need one to cover feb/march…

    • @SBOB we will look after you.
Keep an eye out closer to that date. We don't want to sell/deliver you something now and the plans change at a future date. We will always endeavour to be the cheapest and provide the best deals for Australian travellers!

      • Keep an eye out closer to that date.

        I plan to … don't let me down ;)

  • Any chance of a deal for the UK and French sims?
Wasn't going to bother about sim cards when I travel to Europe next month but if they are cheap enough, might as well :)

    • Hi Uradox,

You just need to keep an eye out. We may have something on special for the UK soon!

      • Any idea how soon? I am flying out on the 3rd of November :)

        • Sorry Uradox not too sure. You will just have to keep an eye out unfortunately. Hopefully, for your sake it's within the next week or so.

Going to get one, thanks for the post.
Do I need to enter in the IMEI?

    "Please note: (US ONLY)
Please advise us of your IMEI (dialling *#06# on your phone) of the phone you will be using in the US and the duration in days if possible for activation purpose."

    I'm travelling to Hawaii

    • +2

I have the same question. Worst part is that it is also for the same destination. One answer will fit two travellers.

      • You can use the sim card in Hawaii too!

Please enter your IMEI for registration, however once registered you can use the sim on alternative phones.

        I hope that helps.

  • I'm leaving for the US on this Friday arvo. Any chance it can be couriered to me in Sydney metro by then or pick up available?

    • Hi Shue

      We will private message you.

  • What is the difference between the $70 and the $80 because I accidentally bought the $80 one that is linked to.

    • Hi ma77

The only difference is the data that you receive. The $70 option comes with 5GB of 4G data as opposed to the $80 option which comes with Unlimited 4G Data. Can you please private message us, if you wish to alter your order.

    • Hi Ma77,

The key difference is the $80 option provides you with unlimited data where as the $70 provides you with 5GB of data.

  • Travelling into Hawaii late Feb. Waiting for extention of this offer to buy some.

    • Hi GLO

Keep an eye out closer to February. We limit our dates as we don't want to sell/deliver you something now and the plans change at a future date.

  • I have been travelling through the USA 2 months ago. We travelled from Alaska down to Los Angeles. I had and AT&T hotspot and a T-mobile hotspot, and I can tell you T-mobile coverage is abysmal. I had 4Gb of data on it and used almost none of it because I could rarely get coverage. At&T (and Verizon) coverage is far superior. Only get T-mobile if you are staying in large cities, and even then you might have trouble. Be very wary of T-mobile coverage maps. The maps look fantastic, but they are using other peoples networks to make the coverage. With a prepaid sim you will not be able to data roam on to other peoples networks, and thus you will not get service.

    • Is it really that bad? Im planning to be in big cities, LA, San fran, NYC, but also some side trips to portland and yosemite. I deffs want to be able to get coverage on the road too. Reckon ill have much trouble?

    • you had no coverage ANYWHERE?

So on your way from alaska to LA you had nothing in San Francisco, nothing in Los Angeles ? I find that somewhat hard to believe

  • I already have a tmobile sim, is it possible to get your plans on those sims with a discount? You guys are offering a really good deal but just bought the sims and they should be arriving here soon, don't really want them to go to waste.

    • Bought one anyways, good deal, too good to refuse thanks OP!

      • Hi Chillybags,

Sorry for the delay in response, but unfortunately we would not have been able to add those plans on to a different sim for a discount.

Glad to see you purchased anyway. Definitely a bargain!

        • Im not leaving till the 22nd of jan, do I have to go online and activate the sim car or anything (once i receive it in the mail from you guys) or is it all ready to go, just put it in the phone and and then the 30 days starts from when the first call/text/browsing is made?

I also plan to go to canada for a couple of days, Im assuming the plan won't work for there? what do you think is my best option?

        • @chillybags:

We activate the sim for you based on your arrival date that you provided on purchase. So that when you land all you have to do is insert the sim card in your phone when you land and you are good to go.

Unfortunately, it won't work in Canada. Since you are only going for a couple of days I suggest to just rely on the WiFi while you are there.

Canada is ridiculously expensive with their sims and prepaid options. However, if you really need a sim in Canada I have heard that the 7-11 stores there sell sim cards for tourists specifically.

  • We're travelling in January 2015, but both my son and wife are contemplating new phones which might need a nano sim instead of micro sim.

If they do purchase new phones,
    * can we change over the sims before departure; or
    * should I wait for further USA deals closer to departure date; or
    * purchase now but not take delivery of sims before December?

    • They can very easily be cut down in size. Theres some template online, all you need to do is print it off and then tape it onto the template then cut along the lines. Done it numerous times

      • Thanks, just browsed online for that info.

However, I worry that in "clutz-mode" I'd destroy the aforementioned $70/$40 sim.
I may just buy nano sims and the $1 ebay nano-micro sim adapters.

        • yep they're a good option too. Ordered some noosy ones of gearbest a few weeks ago for less than $1. haven't gotten them yet though. but try some of the ebay ones

    • Hi Dragon69,

I think the suggestions made below in regards to the adapters is probably a good idea.

However, if you can give us a couple of weeks notice before your depart about wanting to change the sim size we could organise this for you.

      • I think I'll wait - reading LoS's posts on the $55 thread made me check the frequencies of our current Motorola Razr M and HD more carefully and they seem to barely scrape in on 2G under t-mobile, and would be better on AT&T. SWMBO is looking at a Sony Xperia Z3 which looks to have a broad range of frequencies that cover most of t-mobile, so if she buys before departure, I'll buy a simcorner sim for her then.

        • Sure. However, i just had a look at your phone if it's the one i have a link for below:

          http://www.motorola.com.au/consumers/MOTOROLA-RAZR-M/m-Motor…

It states it has the 1900mhz which T-Mobile runs is 3G or HSPA+ (3.5G) on in major cities. Just thought i'd let you know.
