How does a 30 day sim work for 90 days? Cant get my head around the headline. If the plan expires in 30 days so what happened to data that is valid for 90 days?

Supposedly Vodafone has done some "upgrade" and advertise "double the network", has anyone seen any improvement(s) to data speed? or reliability or is it more BS??
