OzBargainMDuo

Dear OzBargainers,

Mike here from MEElectronics. By popular demand we are once again running a $39.99 promotion on our M-Duo Dual Dynamic Driver in-ear earphones. This matches our lowest-ever pricing from earlier this year and is also valid on the two new colors we have released since - Gold and Red.

The M-Duo is our flagship enhanced-bass earphone, utilizing a dual driver configuration with discrete subwoofer and built-in crossover circuit to provide clean, extended bass response and clear sound across the rest of the spectrum. Other features include dual-layer metal housings, reinforced cabling, and an inline microphone and remote for smartphones and other devices (see our mic/remote info page for remote compatibility info).

Coupon Code: OzBargainMDuo . All prices in USD. Promotion ends on October 8th. Limit: 3 per order.

Our shipping charge for Australia is a flat $6 ($8.95, but the coupon code takes another $2.95 off). Delivery times are typically between 10 and 20 business days for standard shipping. Faster shipping methods are also available.

As always, I will gladly answer any questions as best I can in the comments below. I can also be contacted by private message or by email at mike(at)s2einc(dot)com .

All questions and comments are welcome!

I bought these earphones during the previous deal, and I'm so pleased with the audio and build quality. I have owned the Klipsh S4is and can confidently say that the MDuos are much, much better for the same money. In comparison, these provide a much clearer sound and tighter bass response. Metal housings will also be a more durable than the plastic Klipsh models.

Great reviews from various sources. You got me just at the right time rep. Look forward to receiving these

  • Hi Mike,

In the future could there be a possibility for there to be a product like the AF-62s but with easily removable/washable/replaceable earcups? Are there replacement earcups for the AF-62 currently?

I really would like a set of BT over/on ear phones that I can use for mild exercise that I don't have to worry about sweat ruining the only set of earcups. I don't particularly like ear/canalphones, and I don't want to compromise on sound quality - which is why I mentioned the AF-62s.

I own too many headphones as is, but that is a set that I would be interested in the future for sure.

Do you mean the earpads? They are removable and replaceable on the AF62, though it takes a couple of minutes to put them on. We have replacements available here: http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_Replacement_Ear_Pads_p/p…

If you use them for exercise they will get smelly over time but you can wash them in a mild soap/detergent solution, as long as you let them dry fully afterward.

  • If you need a new pair of headphones, cant recommend these enough. My first pair did stop producing sound in one ear bud. I emailed their support and they shipped out a replacement pair very quickly.

Seriously, dont even think too much about this. Buy a pair of these! They sound fantastic.

  • Had a pair of these since the last deal. Use them everyday for at least 2 hours a day (train to uni and home) and they're still great, audio quality is awesome, best earphones I've owned.

  • Thanks. Missed out last deal. Just grabbed some now!

  • hi rep, how r these compared to jaybird bluebud x ??

    • Not sure - perhaps someone else has both and can chime in

Hello rep, do you have any short cable models? (Better if with extension cable) like around or less than 50cm - I want to use with my ipod shuffle clipped on shirt so long cable is annoying at times.

    • Second this. I currently use a set of Short Buds which at 15" are a great length, but sound quality is terrible.

      • We have one sports model with a short cable because it's meant for use with an armband: http://www.meelec.com/Sport_Fi_S6P_s/438.htm . The standard cable (1.3 meters) is split into two. The main cable is about 70 cm though, due to it being a sports model and that being the shortest size that didn't restrict the movement of anyone in our test group.

  • Can anyone tell me how good the audio quality difference is between cheap dynamic drivers compared to supposedly high-end ones like these?

    http://www.noiseguard.com.au/motorcycle/motorcyclepro-racing…

    • That custom mold uses balanced armature drivers. We've actually experimented with that particular driver (Sonion 1723 Acupass) and the sound it produces naturally (with factory crossovers and without additional tuning) is quite flat. It sounds more like our A151 model (which also uses BA drivers, albeit only one per side: http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronics_A151P_Balanced_Armature_…) than the M-Duo. We typically recommend the A151 for pro use and those needing a reference sound, and for listening to classical music, jazz, etc. The M-Duo, on the other hand, has significantly enhanced bass and gets better feedback from consumers and those listening to pop, hip-hop, EDM, top-40, that sort of thing.

  • Can vouch very strongly for those awesome earphones.

  • I know MEElectronics sells sport headphones but can I these without damaging them with sweat while exercising in the gym?

    • Unlike our sports models, these are not tested/certified against liquid ingress. If you sweat to the point where you have actual drops of liquid falling onto your earphones, I would advise against it. For light exercise they'll be fine.

    Thanks Mike… ordered 3.

  • Hi, I recently lost my sennheiser precision cx 300-ii. Could someone who have owned both tell me how these compare? Also, if I was lying in bed on my side, would these be uncomfortable? Thank you.

    • +1

I've owned both. I would say that the M-Duo's are better for sound (and build quality!). The bass is tighter, and the highs sparkle more than the CX300ii's. Also, the earbud housing is metal, so that's pretty cool :P. It's great value for money if you're looking for new earphones.

Unfortunately, the M-Duo's do have a bigger profile than the CX300ii's, so I don't find it comfortable lying on my side. That said, I didn't like lying on my side with CX300ii's either.

      • Thanks, appreciate your feedback.

Thanks for the deal, got a gold one :D

  • How do these compare to Shure SE215s? I lost mine :(

    • Can't comment on the sound (maybe someone else can) but they're a lot less expensive even at full price :)

  • Ordered a few pairs, thanks Mike.

  • Hi Mike,
Will there be any deals on your sport series any time soon? Really tempted by these but am thinking of waiting for a sport series deal.

  • Damn I missed out. Hey Mike any chance you'll run this deal again before christmas? I bought a pair last time and I want to get some for presents.
    Thanks.

    • +1

If we have sufficient inventory I'll run it again for the holidays for those who want to get gifts and such, but if you'd like it sooner just send me an email or private message and I'll price match with an individual coupon.

  • So excited! My headphones have arrived today! Can't wait to try them out. Thanks Mike

    • Glad they arrived safely. Enjoy!

      • Mike, any chance you could still honour this deal? I've managed to break my 2 pairs of iems this week :((

        • Sure, just send me a PM (as a rep I can't initiate PMs) or email and I'll give you a code to price match it.

    Arrived today, bloody loving them.

    • Glad to hear it :)

  • Will there be a deal (again) on these anytime soon? I unfortunately lost my pair, They sound amazing, especially for earphones, they can compare to headphones, including my $300 V-Moda M100's.

    • I will probably run it again around black friday (last week of november) but if you want to place an order in the meantime just send me a PM (as a rep I can't initiate PMs) or email and I'll give you a code to price match it.

      • Hi Mike,

I bought a pair of M-Duo from this promo several weeks ago. Unfortunately, after only using it for just approx. 2 weeks somebody stole it. I have already ordered a Comply Foam Tips for the earphone and sadly I don't even manage to try it on. Actually, I was hoping for another promo if there is.

Btw, I just sign up just for PM you.
On the other hand, I own a Klipsh S4-I. Personally, I like the M-Duo better. It sounds really great after the break-ins. Only now, I am trying to fit it with the Comply Tips and see how it goes.

Hoping I was lucky enough to get a brand new promo one. Cheers

        • +1

Wow, sorry to hear that! I'm surprised someone stole it, it doesn't have Beats logo on the side. Usually that's a decent enough deterrent.

If you still have the accessories and just need the unit itself replaced I can ship you just the bare unit at a lower cost.

Do you mind sending me a private message or email at mike(at)s2einc(dot)com? I can just give you a one-time-use coupon code.
