For those in the market for a Surface Pro 3 i7 256GB and aren't eligible for the 10% EDU discount or are having problems getting a better deal with JB or HN, heres a good opportunity for a good discount from ShoppingExpress….. EVEN better than Yatango deal (Yatangos shipping all equates to 1701.95 and comes from hongkong).. As mentioned the deal finishes quite soon, 12am 1 October 2014.

      yatango is same company as mobicity. Ordered a Nokia Lumia 1020 from them which was supposed to be instock, quite a while back. The item took almost 2months to arrive. Super hard to chase up customer service but quick to take your money.

      At first glance that does look like a great deal at $1,499.95

      It's not until you add it to your cart that you are shown that you have to pay GST ($150) and Customs Processing Fee ($52) on top bringing the total to $1,701.95

    wrong choice of word.. NOT better than Yatango deal..but ShoppingExpress are great to deal with.

    edit edit.. Actually it is better than Yatango Deal. Include the shipping from Yatango + 15+ days to get it shipped.. = $1,701.95 from yatango

    I was able to beat 10% with JB - went in to buy two surface 3's with a pair of keyboards and docking stations. The docking station is really good (I keep one at work). The key is bundling - they generally have a lot more margin to give on the accessories than the tablets.

      Im not getting much luck trying to get 10% discount with 4 JB stores in VIC. I spoke to the store managers as mentioned in Whirlpool. I haven't completed my purchase with SE since website went down last night (website fine now tho).
      Which store did you get it from? I am reading from WP people easily matching from NSW JB.

        I had a chat with some of them. Apparently the discount depends on which spec/model you are getting though.

        It does vary by store - for eg I could only get Southbank JB to 9%, the Melb. city Elizabeth st store was the one who gave the best deal. I find better deals achievable by emailing or phoning them as a rule. I opted for the i7/512 (because). They balanced the discount over accessories so that the docking stations came down to $182 and the covers to $128 with the tablet at $2048.50. Remember that I was buying two tablets so as mentioned bundling is key to a good discount.

          No go. I emailed, phoned then visited JB-HIFI Elizabeth store with the same spec request as you. They didn't budge anywhere near your given price.

          They told me to ask "your friend" for the receipt and have a chat with that person that authorized it.

          I tried it with an i5/256 config with key and dock, and the total discount was a mere $80 off.

          Crikey, I wasn't too keen with the SE after hearing from someone that you'd have to post back the item to them for warranty. Which also meant spending money for postage then waiting for them to make a claim with Microsoft on my behalf. This means a pretty big downtime should I have issues with it.

          So are there any chance people can post their JB receipts with personal details blotted out?

    im still weighing up on an i5/256 or i7/256. Adding up the costs for a keyb + docking station is making me sway towards the i5/256. Super hating microsoft for not including the keyb since these are at a premium price point and have been promoted as a laptop/tablet hybrid replacement.

    I bought a surface pro 3 from jb today. Noticed when I took it out of the box that the top edge of the screen where the camera is has a slight gap where I can see the glue gluing the top side to the screen. The bottom edge of the screen is fine and has no gap.Anyone else got this problem as well?
