That has to be one of the worst web sites I've ever dealt with. Almost missed the cutoff despite having half an hour to do it. Every click requires a 30 second refresh. So slow I feel like I'm covered in goo after using it. Need a shower!

I really can't respect the entitled attitude you occasionally stumble onto here. It's always good when you can take advantage of a great promotion, however it should never be the case where you're disappointed enough to start complaining to a business about not receiving the benefits of a promotion for which you're not eligible.
For what it's worth, I didn't write to them out of a sense of entitlement and can understand the boundaries of a targeted offer, but have seen a number of people here say they signed up for the free credit recently and so they're in the same bag as me. Without a clear understanding of what selective process may be applied here, it seems most are just guessing whether it's targeted or not. So dangit I'm gonna give it a shot!

@CVonV: Are they sure it's the special credit and not just the standard $10 for new members? I think some may have assumed that (esp. if they used it instore and didn't see the desc against it).
I have figured out why some of you guys did not receive the $10 offer for tonight.
Basically, if you did not "SIGN UP FOR THEIR NEWSLETTER" (you did up tick the box when you registered), you would not have received the email, and hence should not have known about this promo, and therefore was not given $10 credit.

Went in store, guy at the check out told me the $10.00 for tonight doesn't apply to new members who recently signed up and got the $10.00 when joining. But the manager told him to just give it to me anyway.
Then he tried to do the same to my Dad. I told him we both got emails about tonight's members special, so he gave it to him after making us both feel like we had done something wrong.
I had the $10 credit on my account from the new member bonus they never said anything to me just scanned my card and asked for the balance.
The guy at the check out was wrong. I recently signed up on the Club+ free signup deal and i did get the $10 credit tonight.

Good deal. Got myself a bunch of degreaser bottles. The credit wasn't loaded onto my account either, but the manager still put it through with no issues. Not sure if it's a nationwide thing but the Epping, VIC store are giving away bottle openers and posters for free. Grab 'em while it lasts ;). Fire brigade and highway patrol sitting at the front too for photos I guess.

A moving trolley - was $30.99 now $20.99 and $10 off makes $10.99. Can't get the bonus cover, will discuss with store when I pick it up as it's supposed to be free, but website crashes when click on it. Checking back it's there but its $30.99 which is more expensive than buying as non deal.

After all the decision making the local store didn't have either of the two basic items I chose! So with minutes to spare bought a can of lubricant (boring). Oh well better than nothing.

I added some stuff in cart less than $10, and at about 8:05 clicked submit, ended getting the error most people were getting about contact admin, error number c… etc
After refreshing the page, cart was empty, but still got an email stating order received, so it went through.
Don't understand why people were in a hurry to submit before 8pm though, was it because some of the deals were going to end, or because the credit is supposed to expire? Because I just checked, and I still have credit left over, it hasn't been removed…I guess it expires at midnight.

Yes, the reason is because I didn't tick the yes email me deals option when I signed up. So only the original $10 credit showed up, and not the credit for today.
maybe that's why they said I only had $10 credit, and not $20…

I have done a bit of an audit of the families memberships. Half got the $10 and half didn't. An account that had that option ticked didn't get the offer. So I think it's a bit random. I think their backend systems were having a lot of problems (even the POS in store was playing up). I don't think it's as simple as a targeted offer based on X,Y or Z), just a screw up. Good luck to those who got it.

didn't get online credit so went in store to buy things. The cashier didn't subtract the $10 credit that was supposedly given to members tonight so I had to ask her about it before she subtracted it.
I think you were lucky (staff discretion) as it's a targeted offer and not for all as the OP may have implied (only those who got the email got the credit officially in their account).
