  • I cant find that many coins. ..

  • The ZenPhone 6 sounds good. It has a large battery but it's integrated into the phone. I'm also not too happy about the Dual Core processor. Everything else looks good, specially the 13 mp camera.

this seller is dodgy. don't bother.

    • How bad are they really in your experience?

I did have one purchase earlier this year where I bought about 6 items for around $7 and they arrived in two separate parcels, however one item was missing. I never got my money back (around $1) because I was lazy in chasing up the paypal claim before the time ran out (they sent a reply saying please check the parcel).

In this instance there was probably some negligence involved on BICs part, but I wouldn't rule out buying from them again.

      • From my comment history:

FWIW i have just been through an horric experience with them for a $630 order of 4 tablets. of the 4, 2 were duds. they refused to pay for a return and started outright lying to me to block a return. the return address they give is china and it's nearly impossible to post electronics back to china esp. with a li battery. in my view they are not to be trusted. at the moment i'm out hundreds of dollars. avoid them if you can.

a few more bucks well spent i think, given what i know now i'll do the same next time. i mean if you're buying a $5 cable who cares but if your item is into the hundreds it's not worth it with buyincoins.

Essentially you cannot send lithium batteries by air, but can be sent via surface if the amount is small i.e. consumer devices. Lithium fires are almost impossible to extinguish and it's not something you want to happen on a plane. I'm not sure how we receive shipments of iPads etc., the country of origin must not be so strict. I know the US for example were in the process of softening the restriction to enable devices with batteries installed at manufacture to be forwarded by air. Their guidelines were similar to ours. We must receive tons of stuff by China Air who obviously don't care, but carriers out of Australia will refuse it. All this is assuming that the package declares it contains hazardous materials, and it is picked up by the air carrier as it is scanned for dangerous goods.

AU post has this policy. some private carriers are fine. but 2 small size tablet boxes via pack and send (DHL) to china for example will be $100+.

you can't send by sea to china, it would take 3 months and get stuck in customs or lost. plus for a refund paypal requires you to send with tracking and delivery confirmation.

so if you have to return a tablet to buyincoins your screwed (i bought 4, 2 were duds), they will lie and say 'oh just send it back it will cost $15 to post', they will repeat this lie until you give up. paypal will also try to dodge their 'buyer protection' as their refund policy requires you to return the goods, at your expense!

it seems only if you pay the $100+ to send them back and get your claim 'escalated' you will get you money back, but no assurance they will refund your shipping. if you want to risk all that to save $20 then that's fine, i'm just letting you know my experience so you can make up your own mind.

        • I don't see this as "dodgy" behaviour on the part of the seller.
You needed to return 2 items from a 4 item parcel, and they required you to do so before a refund/replacement was issued.
While I think it is reasonable for a mail order company to pay return postage on goods found faulty, unless they have a posted returns policy to that effect, or you have some other reason (like ACL in Australia) I don't see how you can force the issue.
BIC probably make $20 profit on each tablet, so asking them to absorb $100+ shipping fees is clearly a losing proposition for them, and would result in higher prices for everyone.
I sympathise you are at a disadvantage here, and don't want to spend $100 to return items, but the real culprit seems to be excessive charges to ship items with batteries.

    • They're one of the more transparent stores Ime.

  • I know people who have received faulty items from them. And yes they pretty much could not return them because of rules regarding posting lithium batteries. Not happy on getting a dud tablet at $250.

  • I thought affiliate links to BIC were not allowed here. The image link above clearly shows it is affiliate. Mod?

    • As far as I can tell, there's no affiliate code on the link.
