I went to purchase a pair via Paypal and it added $3 for shipping. That's not free.

    This $3 is for shipping tracking number, if you don't want to pay it you can choose $0. Shipping cost is really free!

      Maybe this is true if you register, but I'm using the 'Checkout with Paypal' button and I get no option to select shipping method. Do you have to register an account on the website to get free shipping?

      you can get free shipping whether you have an account or not.There is a "shipping method" drop down box on the right.you can choose $0. Then the total cost fee will change.
