  • how does this compare to the Samsung S24D590 or Asus VE248H?

    • +1

The S24D590 has slightly better real estate but the hard specs are practically the same, not worth the whole lot of extra money imo.

The VE248H is a good buy for its price, hard to compare the specs unless you read the reviews. I think the Asus has better contrast but less of a viewing angle. Otherwise d390 and ve248h are both good buys for its price range.

Thank you! I think I will go with D390

  • Are there any deals on 1920x1200 res screens?

  • +1

Does anyone know if this has a VESA mount?

Edit: found out it doesn't if anyone else is wondering

    • Cheers for that, no deal here :(

    • +1

As an alternative, the Asus VE248h does have a VESA mount option.

  • They upped the shipping to make it closer to the dse deal. Will buy from 2 from dse just on principle.

Edit: nvm, seems back to $9.65.

  • I thought the bezel covering active pixels went out with CRTs?

    • +1

it's a comparison to other monitors which have wider bezels. when the bezel is too wide it gives you the illusion of a smaller screen. when you have a narrow bezel it is more of the screen you see. regardless of active pixels

      • Ah, haven't ever heard of that before, I guess you mean your mind or eye is drawn to the frame rather than the image? Fair enough, not sure what I that would be worth to me in $

  • +1

thanks op! i'll go for this monitor =)
i'm not really good with monitors, i was even thinking bout getting the ASUS PB278Q but i wasn't even sure if that would even connect well with my laptop (running at 1920x1080)

edit: just found out it only has 1 hdmi port, is the a monitor you recommend with has 2?

  • how does this compare to the Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27” that frequently goes on sale, putting aside the difference in size? Thanks.
