I own one of these. They are shipping with faulty firmware (and have been for months) that locks up when playing Youtube/Netflix/Hulu. People are also complaining about random freezes in other apps but I haven't seen that personally. The Minix admins have suggested people run a "special version" of the Netflix app, but it turns out it's exactly the same (byte-for-byte) as the version available on Google Play - i.e. it's a placebo, not a fix. It's been confirmed (by users) that it's a firmware issue; it's not a problem with the apps themselves.
Unfortunately, Minix are too cheap to pay a developer to support their product, so we're all currently waiting for a volunteer to fix the problems. There's always a chance that no-one will step up and volunteer, in which case you could end up with a permanently flaky box.
