OSRAMWIN20

This is from an email from Power Bulbs. I have just ordered a pair for myself so cannot comment on light quality. And if you spend >$26, you get a pair of W5W sidelight bulbs!

The people have spoken (on Facebook), and the winner of Battle of the Bulbs is … OSRAM Night Breaker Unlimited!
For one week only, take 20% off the OSRAM Night Breaker Unlimited range using the voucher code OSRAMWIN20.
So, why exactly did the Night Breaker Unlimited triumph over the Philips X-treme Vision? Well, we think it's all down to that extra 10% more light on the road. A 35 metre longer light beam helps to seal the deal!
What more could you want? Snap up a pair of Night Breaker Unlimiteds today with an extra 20% off! Buy now! »
Code ends on 16th September 2014.

  • Purchased a set for the bike! They don't look to be the cheapest available, however there's probably a much higher chance of these being genuine than the ones on ebay….
    Cheers op!

  • Life of these bulbs are horrible. I've be through 4 sets (all from powerbulbs) , 18 months in 3 different cars (no I don't touch the glass on install.)

Next time one blows, I'm going to the Phillips equivalent. Lifespan is apparently much better, even though you end up paying more.

    • i've been using the same set of osram NB Plus for >3 years and i changed them in the last 20% offer for both of my cars for this unlimited one. (They weren't blown or anything.) For both high beam, normal and fogs.

I used to go philips but they don't look brighter and costs heaps more than osram. Not to mention a brush with a dishonest shop that swapped old bulbs into the box of philips. I'm never buying any bulbs locally now.

The bulbs get used 80% of the time I drive, so probably its got to do with something else than the bulbs.

for price of 2 philips, i generally can get 3 osram on a good offer day. so with that statistic, i'll still come up ahead if I was ever in your situation. :) (Check back again and tell me how the philips last on the same cars.. i'm genuinely curious about it.)

  • I believe the theory in all these brighter globes (xenon filament types) is the use of a lower voltage design, being over volted @ 12v. They will of course burn out fast if thats true, and be brighter than the stated wattage compared to same wattage @12v.

ie: They are 9v 55w, run at 12v so maybe something like 65w output, and faster burnout to being cooked.

Id love to read from someone who knows though, Im just guessing…

let us know if your company wants some sales ;)

  • Can't comment on life of these as I have only had them for about 3 months, but very happy with the extra amount of light from these.
