I was seriously looking into buying one of these recently, but keep in mind that this is a huge wok, I would encourage you to measure 35.5cm with a tape measure and check that you really want one this size.

That said, the Cuisinart range is great - i have the multiclad stainless steel set and have recently begun collecting their dishwasher safe non stick hard anodized stuff.

in case anyone else was wondering, from the comments on the page

My induction cook top will not recognize this on the burner. DO NOT BUY if you have an induction cook top.

  • I do a lot of cooking, most of it in a wok and given my previous disasters with a S/S frypan would advise against a s/s wok as woks need high heat and s/s doesn't like high heat.

The best wok I have EVER had in 40 years of cooking has been this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/130073
So good I bought 2 of them a few years back expecting it to not last long but I doubt the 2nd one will ever get out of the box.

    • While they have some similarities, i believe you are comparing two different products.
What cooks well in a carbon steel stir-fry wok doesn't cook well in this type of pan, and vice versa.
This is a pot / pan with a large mouth, as opposed to being a wok (which is traditionally used for high heat open flame quick / stir-fry cooking).
Pans like this, whether made of non-stick or s/s, cannot translate high amounts of high heat like a wok can, but they have their own strengths

  • not sure how you came to "~$29 USD to Australia". I'm getting shipping/handling charges of $28.91 USD bringing the total to $57.15 USD!.

    • Pretty sure that's what he meant, $29 delivery not $29 total.

  • Hello Ozbargainers,

Would appreciate it if anyone can nominate some brands/models of induction capable pots and pans that have an ALL-GLASS lid (ie. the whole lid is made entire of glass, no metal ring nor handle). I have a thing about seams and nooks & crannies.

    • no metal ring nor handle

      do they even exist?

i picked up a set of 3 induction pots with 2 lids for $10 a couple weeks back from ikea (SA)

  • I have this pan and it's extremely well made given the price point. As it may have already been mentioned though, you will need a wok burner on your stovetop otherwise, the pan sides won't stay hot enough.
