  • same as this deal?

  • This the old Mini?

    • Yes. It's not the retina display

  • +1

Thanks Op, I m not sure if it matters, but there r a couple of personal info at bottom of page in the link… Card Number, UserName ;-)

    • Good find. I don't think much can be done (except unsubscribe)

Could also be an issue for OP if BigW don't want the email shared (terms of service of EDR or something?)

      • -1

Yes. Remove the card number or people can constantly use it for staff discounts

        • How? It's an EDR Offer, unless you know for sure that the OP is an BigW Team member, you'd only be earning the OP Qantas FF points and get a small discount.

FYI: I also got this offer and I've never worked for BigW etc.

        • @grimace3:

Sorry I guess I jumped the gun. Staff members cards are now linked with EDRs so I assumed it was a staff member

    • All fixed. Made it generic.

  • +4

    RRP is $349 not $479.

    • Agreed.

      • +1

        $479 is retina version.

  • Can be bought on ebay for $335.00 so even though its cheap the $479 RRP is stretching it

  • +1

If its not the retina version isn't this pretty much the normal price ?

    Shrunken down IPAD2.

  • +9

office works already has it for $298. how is this bargain if this iPad is without a retina display.

    • -3

      agreed.

      • +4

agreed is not a valid negative vote reason.

It is still the cheapest price available for this product. Still $4 cheaper than office work and office work wont price match special deal that involve membership card like this. If you can find it for cheaper else where then neg, if not refrain from using it.

        • +1

It's debatable whether it's the cheapest price for this product. Those other prices have no strings attached. This one requires that you agree for Woolworths to build a customer database with your personal information and spending habits. If you've already done this, fine, but otherwise signing away your details to Woollies may be worth more than $4 to many.

        • +6

          @dazweeja:
Can't you just get a new rewards card from the counter at Woolworth without filling anything up

  • +3

definitely a lowest price but nota bargain.

  • When are the next generation ipads expected ?

    • Likely to be announced in 5 days.

      • 9/9/14 is American time, so 6 days. And I doubt they would announce iPads at the iPhone reveal, they always do the iPads separately.

If they do release 5.5" iPhones, maybe I will sell my iPad mini retina.

      • iPad reveal is usually a month after the iPhone event, so it'll be more like next month.

    • +1

its probably called jv: jpad v (5th generation)

  • This discount might be targeted to specific members. Some Everyday Rewards members got this email and others didn't.

    • not targeted - check junk mail :)

  • +1

Just an observation, but this is the same price as the Nexus 10 now, with 2560x1600 display.
You'd have to be awfully committed to the IOS ecosystem. … I guess you already have an iPad retina, and this is for the kids?
A credit to Apple that that can still get so much money for such modest hardware. (ie people pay for the IOS.)

Don't blame apple for making a more techno-noob friendlier operating system. I grant that android is a lot more flexible but with that comes complexity that non techno savvy including older people and kids just don't want to use. Apple gets a leg up by this

    • Because they don't seem to list much if any stock at OW.

  • Same iPad mini here for $279 delivered @ BecexTech Australia: http://becextech.com.au/catalog/computer-tablet-apple-tablet…

    • not au stock :(

      • does it really matter?

        • If you are not in a hurry I guess not. Get the miss the hordes at Big W by waiting too :)))
