      Patience, Iago. Not yet.

  • LG watch sucks!

    • Like dyson?

  • +7

    Such a good phone.

      • I get more than enough to cover my day with 4g, bluetooth and calls. I work as an i.t contractor so am on the phone quite a bit and use it on the train in and out every day..

its a great phone solidified by its price.

        • -3

          Yikes.. all these down votes.

What I'm saying is that the Nexus 5 is perfectly adaquate for anyone, but it's nothing 'special'.

e.g. the Galaxy S5 is waterproof, fingerprint scanner, multi window… makes it special.

But the Nexus 5, is the bare bones of Android, which is perfectly fine if that is what you need; no frills and whistles.

(Also, the battery life is nothing special, comparable to a Nexus 4… Just look up any reviews that that's the verdict.)

        • +3

The s5 might be better as you say, but do those features really make it worth about 50% more than the cost of a nexus 5?

        • @floorpie:

I never said that the s5 is better. I said that its features makes it special, unlike the plain vanilla flavoured Nexus 5.

(And for your info, the answer to your question is NO. The Nexus 5 is a very good priced phone, and everything else is pretty much overpriced compared to the Nexus 5.)

        • +3

          @inose:

No one but you has said anything about the N5 being special. rorymeister simply said it was a good phone - and a long laundry list of special features isn't a necessity for being a good phone. This is a completely nonsensical discussion.

        • @ProspectiveDarkness:

Where did I say that the Nexus 5 was 'special'? Nowhere; you're putting words in my mouth.

My point is that it is NOT special.

It's not a 'good' phone; it's just a phone. One that works well, is priced good, that has nothing special about it.

…And yes, getting my point across to fanboys… Futile.

        • I 'd have thought that the most unequaled platform/combo
          would inevitably point to cm11sOne+1:P
where else you collect all that~AU370$±40

o'course 'silver/n6/whatever, has its work cut out.

        • +2

          @inose:

sigh let me rephrase. You were the only one that mentioned the word 'special' in regards to the Nexus 5. You are arguing against a point no one was making. The original comment called it a good phone. Special != good. SMH, you call others fanboys but start arguments over what special features arbitrarily (and subjectively) make for a good phone. Utterly nonsensical.

        • +1

@inose: LEL, I wish I had some negative votes to give you for this post.

The Nexus is a standout device at the price point it's pitched at. Basically "the verdict" (seriously?) is that every device in the Nexus line has been. You might even say that's what makes it "special".

      • My wife's nexus 5 has no problems with battery life for the whole day without charging. Very good phone indeed. In the past she complained about battery low in the previous phones.

      • +1

nex version android L has even better battery!

        • I had it on my N5 when it first was released, was too buggy. How is it now? Any updates since?

        • @rorymeister:
Well, it was a Dev preview release and not due for end user release for quite a few weeks what did you expect….?

      • Agreed, poor battery compared to LG G2.

        • Absolutely. THe G2 blows away all competitors in battery life, especially the NExus 5 (which has low-average battery life).

  • Good deal.

  • +2

Offloading Nexus 5 for imminent next iteration? Please oh please

  • +3

I don't get why anyone would buy an n5 now. N6 is due out soon, even if you want a n5, you are better off waiting till the n6 is released and then pick up the n5 for a better price. The N6 will hopefully start at $399 like the last 2 models. Hopefully google release in 32/64 gb version, and forget 16gb, but that'll be unlikely.

    • I haven't seen from any reputable source that there will even be a Nexus 6. I thought Google was abandoning the Nexus project with phones for something called Android Silver.

Either way I wouldn't be holding my breath for a Nexus 6 anytime soon.

  • I was waiting for 299$ price, but not with any bundle offer! Disappointed…

    • +1

Wait and see what they will offer after N6 released.

      • Fingers crossed…

      • Back to 399AUD, something is going to happen soon :)

  • +2

Dang I just wish it had an SD card slot. Going to be annoying transferring everything

    • You don't have 2 usb ports?

      • +3

as opposed to plugging in an SD card into the new phone in less than 5 seconds?

        • -3

SD card -> plug into card reader - plug into computer - transfer - unplug - plug into phone

Phone transfer -> Plug into computer - transfer

        • +4

@astarman: I think you are misunderstanding. He means he can take his existing SD card full of music/movies/whatever and simply shove it into a new phone… if such a phone had an SD card slot, that is.

        • -1

I understand, but I personally don't see the big deal, you only have to do it once when you change phone. I do get that there are desirable reasons to have an sd card slot, but data migration isn't really top of the list.

        • +1

@magnafunk: Just because it's your personal opinion doesn't mean others are invalid. Some people may have different preferences when it comes to phone and the functions they want.

Sorry but you ain't on the top of my list either.

        • @StarkIndustries: lol, no need to neg I didn't say yours was invalid dawg

        • @astarman: Wow have you ever considered a job in technical support?

        • @henno: Dk if true with all phones, but doesn't reading an SD constantly use battery?

    • +1

      have you tried airdroid?

  • +3

"Hi. I can't get to my watch at the moment, please leave a message and I will get back to you"…
Next, Bluetooth underpants, with a vibrating band.

  • +1

I know this will get hate, but i think the g-watch is shit.

    • why would you say such a thing !

    • Hence, huge anticipation for the Moto 360 :D

    • +1

$50 is the reasonable price for the watch IMO.

The phone will come down to $300 very soon, does the G watch worth $248+ shipping? People who bought this bundle must some sense of humour. Please check YouTube reviews about that watch first.

    • No you don't get any hate from me it's an ugly piece of junk!

    • -1

I think smartwatches are shit full stop ATM.

I see no reason to wear one if I have to carry a phone at the same time.

The one scenario where I'd be keen to own one is if it replaced a smartphone but then only for working out or going places I don't want a phone with me.

      • Most of em are crap… my g-shock "smart" watch is awesome though, g-shock with all the alerts paired to my g3 (email, fb, sms, calls, music control, etc) and 2 year battery life, 20bar waterproof, shock proof, etc… Its a real watch with "smart" capabilities, none of this android on a wrist crap with a clock labelled as a watch.

  • -6

    That's not cheap.

  • -4

Some powerful people removed my negative vote, what an xxxhole. Well done.

    • +1

      Are you JV?
