I was looking for a cheap AV receiver to replace my existing one & this seems good value for the money,i'm no expert on AV receivers so I could be wrong.The next best price I could find was $329 with free Metro shipping @ www.deniswhite.com.au

140 watts per channel (6 ohms, 1 kHz, THD 1%, 1ch driven)
1% THD from a single channel at a single frequency is pretty poor however that is at 140 watts so if that was brought down to a more realistic power output then that distortion figure would probably be pretty decent. I just hate the way manufacturers still think we all blindly rate Amplifiers on how many hundreds of watts it can produce instead of the clarity/quality of sound eg. my little cheapie Chinese Tripath Amp can only output around 5-6 watts of pure usable power however that can easily fill a room with very clean & clear sound.
