This deal appealed to us because we really need a holiday!

  It's a bit crazy to have to sign up to Travelzoo just to see the deal which then just points you to Discover Australia.

  $427 is only available on a very select amount of dates. Oct 22, Dec 5, Dec 6, Dec 8.

  It's flying Jetstar.

  If you did everything separate, Jetstar flight would cost $258/pp/RT.

  It's $262 total for 2 nights using Hotelscombined.

  $516 + $262 = $778 for 2 people if you did it yourself vs. $854 with Travelzoo/Discover Australia.
  Maybe if you were going by yourself this is a good deal but otherwise bad value.

  EDIT: The minimum is 2 people so MINIMUM COST is $854. You can't only book 1 person. Bad deal!

  Just trying to make life easier for people with 5traveldeals.com - these aren't our deals and we don't benefit from putting together the email everyday for you. We just picked a random one to put here to spread the word.

  If you don't like this deal that's fine, but some will and it's only one of 5 we're putting up every single day so maybe calm down a bit and consider that there could be some value in the service we provide?

  We're not trying to sell you anything - just trying to provide a service that fulfils a need that we had to get the crap cut out of the available travel deals and the the lists with vested interests, etc. etc.

  So relax and don't sign up if there's no value in it for you. I'm not with Travelzoo - just trying to find some likeminded folks who might want so bargains we've found.

    I'm not making a personal dig, purely constructive feedback. You want to offer people the best travel deals just like OzBargain wants to offer people the best deals. I get that.

    You also state on your website We receive all the deals, cut out the crap. So I'm suggesting that you do that. At the very least don't link to Travelzoo where your subscribers will need to sign up for an account just to be told to go to Discover Australia (again need to sign up) to get the deal. If your subscribers do any further research then they will see that this deal can be done cheaper by booking directly without a lot of effort. Surely, you can agree that booking via Discover Australia (for $76 more) is not a bargain?

    I like the idea of 5traveldeals as long as someone is actually researching that the deals are in fact the cheapest possible on the market. You can even market it as Travelzoo supposedly picks the best deals but we've researched how to get it cheaper or something like that.
