Acer 23" LCD X233H Full HD Monitor for $176 after Cashback - Fluidtek (Sydney)

210

Another deal from Eddy @ fluidtek.

Yes, he is the real life soup-nazi. But he does do good prices.

My 24" Full HD monitor cost about $400 9 months ago, to see almost the same size for 176 is crazy.

Mod - edited title.

  • this is just ludicrous.. no audio out but top price. only today as well so get in quick!
maybe not the place but any recommendations for a full HD LCD monitor 23+ inch to use for the xbox360?

    • prolly either get the Acer P244W or the BenQ E2400HD thats all i know that has hdmi port
as for audio out just get a logitech 5.1 adapter works really well
since im prolly already too late to go get this i'll prolly get the Acer X243HQ, goto officeworks and pricematch it with msy :D

      • from what i understand the p244w is discontinued stock (correct me if im wrong, i didnt research it myself).

But yes it has 2 HDMI ports (i own it :D )

        • same here and LOVING IT, too bad it doesnt have height adjustment :(, also changing the setting from RGB to YCbCr444 has made the color alot sharper than before :D
and yes it is discontinued HOWEVER some officeworks still have them and there selling it for $307 clearance stock last time i checked which was last wednesday

    • I'm using the BenQ G2412 24" monitor at the moment. It's fantastic. A big improvement over my stupid Kogan 19" LCD.

The E2400 has speakers but monitor speakers suck, so you're just paying extra for something that isn't great. Instead, buy some good speakers and plug them into your monitor. The G2412 is cheaper than the E series and has the same inputs (DVI, HDMI, VGA).

I got mine 2 months ago for $280. It should be cheaper now.

As for this deal - less than $200 for a full HD 23" monitor is very good. I'm not sure about the screen quality and colours, but there's high demand for it, so it must be great value for money.

      • Speaking of good speakers, I would recommend Logitech Z-4 set. You can get them for about $100 or a bit more. I have them and also the Logitech LS-21 set ($35) and I can tell you if I had known the real difference, I would have happily paid the about $65 more for the Z-4 set.

    • thanks for all recommendations guys. will look into the p244w and 2400HD i think.

  • Be aware of Fluidtek's reputation for poor service but great price!
I bought my monitor G2412 from them a few months back, and had no trouble at all, but lots of people refuse to buy from them based on poor experience.

    • Yeah, be prepared for the shock…

@Broden: Does he still have the big sign on the counter that says:

"If you find this item cheaper somewhere else why are you here?"

            hahahahaha

  • i want one… damn im not in sydney!!!

  • Awesome Prices not just on the LCD but a good range of others too, check Logitech items.

Don't recall that in Seinfeld the soup nazi actually drank alcohol & smoked whilst serving customers and cursed DIRECTLY at them when annoyed……also teling them a certain soup was out of stock and 'recommending' they buy the heavily marked up crap generic soup he'd had truckloads of shipped in.

  • I heard my friend said he bought an acer fr somewhere else and eddie claimed that it is a sxxt brand, and now he's selling it bargain price. what a hypocrite that contradicts himself?

  • Reviews on the monitor seem to say the main negatives are 1) no height adjustment (suppose could use phone books underneath, but that looks a bit ugly and I like a clean desk and the default height in a friend's acer monitor is too short), and 2) Seems to require a long series of key presses on the monitor for switching between the different inputs. Still price seems very good for an otherwise good monitor. So probably best for people who don't mind having a stand / phone books on their desk, and who won't be toggling between different inputs too often.
