Hmm, looking into buying my first mountain bike.

    Any thoughts on this one?
Also I'm 6,3" would extra large be the way to go?

XL would be a good size, basically if you're 180-190cm you should use an XL

      See bike chart here:

      http://www.pushys.com.au/shoes-helmets-clothes-sizing-charts…

Bike has a lot of Shimano components with light alloy for speed+strength & rockshok is a popular suspension which is good but I've never used these mountain bikes before

Pop into your local bike shop and get sized up.. nothing worse than riding a bike that does not fit! :-(

  • Looks as though it would suit you to a 'T' IMO.

I had a quick look around the net, surely a GREAT
deal on this bike at the moment in anybody's books.

Worth noting it'll be shipped to you unassembled so you may need to pay further $$$ for a bike mechanic

    • +1

How much would they usually cost to be assembled?

      • +2

This is just a guess but I'd say $50-80. Never bought a bike that was unassembled before (thankfully)

  • Maybe getting it unassembled could be looked at as a positive…

You would have a far better understanding of your bike & confident
that you assembled yourself… just a thought.

If you got it wrong, you could always get it tweaked by an assembler…

If you were intending to use it for extreme mountain riding I'd recommend a mechanic if you only have a basic understanding/primitive tools

      • a very valid point.
