  • the picture container looks like phillips…….. if it's true then looks good.

The target version just disappointing compare to phillips.

    • Super unlikely. Philips is mentioned nowhere and would be a major selling point if it were. Definitely a knockoff.

      • +1

i mean if the quality is similar to phillips

molding accuracy etc…… the knob control is different from phillips, so it's a knockoff no doubt

  • this is cheap, how does it compare to the Phillips units?

    • not sure about this

the phillips, before i bought it, my wife keep on telling me not to. saying it's useless

I showed her the youtube, now she's using it everyday. sometimes twice a day.

      • +1

How's the philip's air fryer? The result is closer to fried OR oven? I have one knock off ones, similar to tefal acti-fry, and its more of baking rather than frying.

        • the actifry is like stirfry.

the airfryer is 50% of deepfry and oven. so you get the 50% effect of deep fry. not 100%. so lightly better taste than normal oven,

it's 40% faster than oven cooking time too, so save on energy/ cost. The actifry is still too long to cook……..

        • @edgar28:
Still sounds like crap. You spend money and keep another appliance to once in a while get 50% better then usual; and I guess if you have a proper oven and flip the food once or twice while cooking, that fryer becomes only 25% better .) Oh, and I cook a lot.

  • +1

How is the Phillips compared to the Tefal ?

    • as above.

Some ozbargainer claimed that the Avancer knockoff is as good as phillips… i'm not sure whether it's true or not. I nearly got it, but they have no stock till August, so i grabbed the phillips.

my son claimed that the thin cut chips air fried taste like the macca's……

  • +1

how is this knock off even a deal? There isn't a base price comparison at all.

  • +3

Guys, if you are thinking of getting this, your probably better off getting the AVANCER one, which is cheaper than last time now. I just ordered one myself.

Yea I'm aware of this but it won't be sent till 8 Sept.

    • I just ordered one. My email receipt said:

      "Estimated Dispatch date: In stock"

Might be a mistake, but we might get lucky.

      • +1

I just placed an order and said "in stock", hope that we'll get it soon,
FYI, use coupon "take5off" for 5% off, cheers

    • i have one of those. very happy with it

    • Plus one to Avancer here… Great service, postage paid warranty and a generally schmick unit… Haven't used mine much, but each time it has worked a treat :-)

    • Ordered. Also used the 'take5off' coupon as suggested by 'tinkko' for 5% off. :)

  • Hey guys that ordered the Avancer Airfryer - did you guys get it sent or are you guys still waiting?

    • Still waiting.

    • still waiting, even we can not lodge the Paypal dispute, if we have not received :-(

    • Not a good news, I could not trace my order in Avancer web site, let us know your suggestion,

      • I contacted them and heard back within an hour (awesome). Apparently we can't track our order if we didn't sign up when we ordered.

        • customer service emailed back to me that they will dispatch on 8 September, :-) cheers
