Hopefully they have some games discounted as well.

      • +1

Thanks, but that info should be in the deal details above.

    • +2

Also for anyone interested, the mailing list sign up is on their Help Centre page.

    • sorry, I was in a rush posting the deal, I have updated what was available

      • +1

No worries, thanks for updating the post.

      • +2

This is not a deal, only advertising as there is nothing to compare off to determine what items are and arent a deal.

        • Just hold off voting until tomorrow if you're worried.

  • FYI….

*5% Discount Voucher excludes Computers, Tablets, TVs, DVD & Blu-Ray Players, PVRs, Set Top Boxes, Mobile Phones, Agency Products and Prepaid Cards. In store only. Full Terms & Conditions below.

    • So we should be able to purchase gift cards at 5% off? Or is that what the prepaid cards are?

  • +2

FYI the 5% excludes everything except 2nd hand xbox games….

    • +1

      2nd hand xbox 360 games

The Soniq 48" LED TV is $399

This is definitely the cheapest I have ever seen it.

    • Refresh rate?

$310 if you have some gift cards from holiday season ($100 + $30 bonus ea).

I bought this TV since it was so cheap in a previous sale for the same price!

I believe its 50Hz, has 3 HDMI ports, a USB2 port (with media playback including mkv) as well as the other standard ports. It doesn't have many special features like being a smart TV or 3D, but its great for a standard TV with its built in HD STB. I have my secondary consoles plugged into it (Wii U and 360) and games like Mario Kart 8 look great on it!

        • +1

What are your primary console(s) plugged into? :)

Smart TV's are overrated when you can just attach an apple tv/chromecast/rpi.

    • The voucher says it excludes TVs

  • +1

You should be able to negotiate at least 5% off any TV, DVD player etc at any time, especially if you have a similar price at another shop. So if you only get 5% off then you aren't doing so well…

    • Can't you just negotiate a cheaper price, and then when you go to the counter hand over the 5% voucher?

      • +1

Not when it excludes TVs etc,

      • that's what some have done successfully. I'd recommend you haggle first, then show the voucher. Works better if it's different staff at the counter and you haggle with the staff around the displays.

  • edit Vouchers are unique. If you sign up for the newletter now will they send you the 5% off today?
Also called it on the sale btw 23rd!- https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/151461#comment-2094827

  • 5% Discount Voucher excludes everything I would like to buy.

    Edit

Would the voucher work on this?

This should not be posted until there are more (any) details about actual bargains (which may not even exist). The only current "deal" is the 5% voucher, which can't be shared.

There is no deal here. Neg.

    • Except we need to sign up to the mailing list TODAY to get the 5% disc. So I'm glad I'm reading this today and not tomorrow….

      • I highly doubt you will make it on the mailing list in time to receive it today. The script is probably already running against a snapshot of the database from this morning.

EDIT: I've signed up with a second email. If I receive the voucher to that address, I'll revoke my neg. Otherwise, I stand by my point that this post is currently worthless.

According to the email it says "If you want to make sure your friends can take advantage of the extra 5% make sure they sign up to JB Instant Deals before Wednesday so they can receive the special voucher too"

        • +1

          @JayMoney:
Well….lets see if that happens. Not that 5% is still really a bargain considering we don't yet know what the (possibly inflated) prices are.

        • @PainToad: Neg first, facts later.

If this is like every other JB instant deal you will get the email after you sign up. May take a few minutes, or make take an hour or so. and check your junk/spam/promotions folders.

  • Can someone tell me if they have used a barcode like this before at JB, and have used their phone scanned by the scanner? Just ceebs printing.

And yes I know it says print it out, but I have had success using my phone other places.

  • Any routers included? Keen to pick up a Netgear Nighthawk, thanks.

  • I asked a guy inside my local JB about whether Gaming Headsets were included, and he was mum about it, said I had to go inside tomorrow to find out.

  • should work on games so 2 x $40 special - 5% = $38 or $19 a game….I should be able to afford something to eat at maccas after that transaction.

    • 6 Soft serves :)

      whoa nice find.

    • $12 bucks a piece for TV on Bluray is nice! Seems to only work if you have just 2 in the cart no more
      https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on…

Correction works if you have an even number of titles

      • Seem to have fixed that back to B2G1F. Wonder whether they will honour any orders made as B1G1F?

        • I've paid for and am picking up 4 blus tomorrow. Don't see why they wouldn't.

        • They have honoured many price mistakes in the past so I think they likely will. I ended up with 4 myself.

        • But you would have paid full price v 20% off today.

    $1500 Off The Samsung 75H7000 and the 75H6400 !!!
    20% off PVR's (from memory)
    20% off Soundbars (from memory)

    • Any deals on games?

  • :) got a few tv series last night. Then saw this morning they had 20% but still got an awesome deal with buy one get one free

    • I think it still worked out slightly better as B1G1F than 20% + B2G1F
I bought the first 5 Breaking Bad Blurays and another $24.95 DVD for $80.88 Delivered and today it would be $85.86.

  • Anyone got their 5% yet? Waiting to see if I can get 20% off cameras.

    • -3

      Lol.

Hate to say it, but "told you so". Knew those signing up yesterday wouldn't get the voucher.

OP also hasn't been updated with any actual deals.

What a pointless post this turned out to be. Shame you twits voted down my neg.

      • Day is not over yet.

      • I updated it this morning with a photo of the sale from the paper, maybe I should of highlighted the update.

        • Fair enough. My bad.
