The plans are monthly, according to the website.
I couldn't see anywhere on the site that referred to the $30 credit but it's a link from Facebook & that link specified $30 credit. The URL says it's a referral from Facebook (facebook_referral=linkpostSIM_2506_Custom).
Someone has reported this as a targetted offer, don't see how that can be so as it wasn't sent to me - it's off Facebook!
If I open Facebook then go to Global Gig's page I see it there as the top post:
