Free delivery would have sweetened the deal ;)

or wait a week for another cheaper deal

  • Which is better? Fujitsu or Eneloop?

    • +1

      Eneloop :)

      • +1

AAA Eneloop XX ones mention recharge 500 times whereas Fujitsu mention 1800 times

        • whats the capacity of the Fuji's. 2000 0r 2500 mah for its AA batteries?

        • Following from sc00bies post, the non XX Eneloops have longer lifespans. The Tropicals are 1800 cycles and would be the type people would be using more often than not. XX's I believed are more aimed at something such as a digital camera where the others are for every day use.

      • Fujitsu are made in the same factory and tests seem to show they are exactly the same as white and tropical etc Eneloops. The difference with the XX is they are higher drain, with only 500 cycles and IIRC, they are not LSD either. Larger capacity, and larger amp supply for high drain devices.

Gruntiest AA Nimh on the market AFAIK, these XX crap all over the white and tropical etc Eneloops. However in normal devices, you wont notice the difference, just less life and extra capacity (runtime).

    • Eneloop tropicals are also good if you wanted to group a few battery packs together.
Easier to manage charged & uncharged packs with the colours.

  • AA Eneloop XX 2550mah 4 pack was cheaper the other day at $16.18 with free delivery. $17.80 + $4.95 delivery no thanks no deal.

    • doesn't look like DSE actually honored that price, when people ordered it went up to full price in their baskets.

      • It was adding to the cart as $16.18 during saturday night and all of sunday morning. It's only the late comers that missed out on the deal.

        • +1

I got the 4 pack eneloop xx for $16.18 a few days ago with no problems…

        • Actually sorry it was all sunday morning that it was on sale for $16.18. I forgot the sale must have started at mid might. It wasn't on sale on saturday night my mistake.

        • Yup that was the better deal $16.18 delivered not like this $17.80 + $4.95 delivery.

  • Based on this review it looks like they are 1900, a bit low for high capacity battery. Anyone else know for sure?

Interesting.. if these are a technical rip off of Eneloop.. maybe even licensed from them.. in theory the eneloop quick charger should charge these efficiently.. I wonder..

Go to Masters and you can pickup the Eneloop quick charger straight off the shelf for $29.99 every day price.

    https://www.masters.com.au/product/100679971/eneloop-quick-b…

Besides it's out of stock at Dick Smith. Would have been $29.41 + $4.95 delivery = $34.36. No deal there is cheaper at Masters. These current deals from Dick Smith are kind of a let down.

Yes and no, some of us (me included) don't live anywhere near a Masters, and wont drive 2hrs return to save $4.

Like I said, it was the cheapest price for a delivered quick charger, while it was in stock.

      • Hahaha.. add the 1 hour walking around the store asking lots of staff where the $#%D are the Eneloop batteries and chargers to be answered with what is an Eneloop?. I really hate shopping at masters for the reason that no one has any idea where anything is.

Last time I even did a "online order with in store pickup" just because I'd been in the local store 3 times and could find one even though their system said heaps in stock. Magically when they got a "pickup order" they managed to find one, though then waited at the front desk 20 minutes for them to actually give it to me.. sigh.. agree.. don't bother with the $4. Lifes too short. ;)

        • Got the Quick Charger from Masters @ Chullora. This is my first time in Masters. Thought I knew I could find batteries in Electrical section, but lol they are at Storage section instead.

Kinda quiet for a hardware store plus it has a different aura. Also they are too clean & no stinky smell like Bunning…. I think I'll stick with Bunning, for compost sniffin' drug. :p

  • I just figure out aus batteries are so expensive :(

quick charger with 4 AA (high cap) = around $22 in japan , I know what I need to stock up next time I go there~

    • This must've been posted heaps before, but you can get LSD batteries from Hobbyking for much cheaper regularly. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__25023__turnigy_aa…

Ships from HK or Aus (dearer for smaller quantities), tested on my Maha MH-C9000 charger to always exceed the labeled capacity. LSD seems to work quite well (based on other reviewers), although I haven't measured it myself it is satisfactory for me.

      • Don't forget to quote the differences in capacity retention. i.e. LSDs drop about 30% over 1 year.
The normal eneloops have the best retention by far.. the XX ones drop by 25% in 1 year i think.

        • Few of the forums rate the Eneloop XX at 12% discharge in 1 year and the Turnigy at around 20% for the new 2400mah ones. Price difference is pretty huge however!

      • I had a look at them but cannot figure out the postage costs without registering.

I hate sites which do that.

I just paid $17.80 in store for 4x Eneloop AA XX (actually I bought 2 packs @ $35.60). Showed the sales guy the website on my phone. He wasn't happy, but nice enough to honour the deal.

    • Probably wasn't happy he didn't know about the deal so he could grab them for himself.

Any way i just bought a heap of Dick Smith NiMH AA LSD 2200mah rechargeable 4 battery packs tonight from Dick Smith online at $1.85 per packet. Actually 7 packs making 28 batteries. I mean for the price of one packet of these Eneloop XX AA 4 packs i got 7 packets of the Dick Smith NiMH batteries. They're not Eneloops but hey at $1.85 for 4 rechargeable AA batteries is sweet :)

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/150184

All the Dick Smith batteries are going crazy cheap tonight.

  • the standard AA is cheaper when you buy 2 packs of 2 instead of 1 pack of 4 lol
