  • This system?

60kg seems light for 10kwH plus an inverter

Spec sheet says its 109kg+19kg inverter….

    • Thanks, yes, sorry, our mistake, will edit it now. However I believe the 109.5Kg is the total weight

  • When using 2 x inverter/battery units in parallel, can the backup port be wired in parallel to power a single 10kw circuit or does each inverters backup port need to be separate 5kw circuits?

    • +1

Thanks, I would need to ask the AlphaESS Tech support but that can take up to 2 business days, please let me know if you want me to ask

  • If i have the inverter already installed with the solar and just needed batteries?

    • Thanks, Yes, Expandable to 60.5 kWh using 10.1kWh SMILE-G3-BAT-10.1P battery modules:

        • +1

Yes, you need an electrician to install this battery or any additional modules

      • Will this work with a current hybrid inverter?

        • Thanks, as I mentioned before in this post it is a standalone system with inverter and battery

  • Are you a distributer? Or do you installs as well? Can you give me a price range to install this battery please? I already have solar installed with 6.6kw with 5kw inverter.

    • Thanks, we are not a distributor, we sell to end users however as mentioned in the post we are not an installer, you would have to source your own installer, my apologies

  • What are the main difference between the new 10.1 smiles and the older 13.3 smiles ?

    • Thanks, the main difference with this battery is that it can be installed in a Master/Slave configuration, hence adding the 5kW inverter charge of each battery to make it for example 10kW total charge(2 batteries)

  • Hi, is there any version for 3 phase systems?

  • I have a Sungrow hybrid inverter, how do I find out if this is compatible with it and how it would communicate etc?

    • Thanks, I don't think it is compatible with another inverter as it already has an inverter built-in

  • +3

Better to get batteries and installation from one place to save on any future issues with warranty claims.

    Plus look into operating temperature

  • +1

One thing you must ask about these units is whether they charge from solar when the grid is offline. The older Alpha units wouldn't do this so once the battery died, regardless of generating solar, you were without power.

  • +1

Hi Rep, will this inverter charge the battery through solar while the grid is off or overvoltage?

    • +1

Thanks, yes, just confirmed it will supply power to the house first, then charge the battery in an off-grid scenario. You can also connect a generator to it

  • Hi, may I ask how the warranty works please? Lodge warranty request with you or the AlphaESS?

    • Initially always get in contact with us. I/we will always try at any stage of a warranty case to sort everything possible out for our customers, however, if there for example is a need to lodge a warranty case with the manufacturer that is something that our customer would have to do and then the manufacturer takes over, but at any given time we are here to assist with any of that

  • If one has an existing solar system, 13kw panels, 10kw inverter, is this what is required to add a battery? (Sungrow)
