If you know about high quality playmats you'll likely be familiar with the Bubba Mat brand. Their sole Australian distributor Softmats Pty Ltd are at the Brisbane Pregnancy Babies & Children's Expo this weekend (stand D10, Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre), and offering some expo specials such as:
Dwinguler
Large (230x140cm x 15mm) SRP $299 Expo price $220
Standard (190x130cm x 11mm) SRP $199 Expo price $140
Bubba Mats
Standard (190x130cm x 12mm) SRP $199 Expo price $160. I've seen 2 of the designs listed on Baby Bunting's website for $189, though checking now shows they're currently on special for $159, perhaps to match the Expo specials?
Comflor
Medium (185x125cm x 11mm) SRP $149 Expo price $120
The SRPs are what you would pay to buy the same mats online. Buying at the expo gives you a discounted price, saves you the $10 delivery free and gets you free delivery to Brisbane metro (I was given an ETA of next Friday) if you don't want to carry a mat around/to your car.
There is also a bonus offer of a free kitchen mat ($49 value) with every mat taken home, available while stocks last. This is a (much) smaller mat which you could use in the kitchen, eg. to stand on next to stove or sink. I don't think they were bothering too much with the "taken home" bit, cos I ordered a mat for delivery and still got the kitchen mat.
NB there is at least one other stand selling other similar products, and I got to hear some interesting he said she said tales of "competition" between these two parties. From what I gathered, all the mats on sale come out of the same factory/are made by the same manufacturer in Korea, but to different specifications/standards and different markets. I have no affiliation with Softmats Pty Ltd / Bubba Mats but FWIW my own research suggests these (or the Dwinguler brand) are the ones to get.
We have had a bubba mat going on 5 years and it's still brilliant! I have seen the dwinguler ones at Costco and I think they are around $200 from memory just FYI :)
