Judging by the picture is this for ants? It needs to be atleast 3 times bigger.

    • "PLUGS INTO TV FOR HOURS OF FUN" - Big W

  • Is it really playable?

    Virtual fighter also $9 https://www.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/o…

  • Seems that price is for online only, and you need order of $40 or more for free click and collect?

Also, there is a Virtua Fighter model:

  • Product weight = 0.08 kg lmao, i wanted to know how big in cm it was~ seems to small

  • same question as above does it work well?
    Anyone tried ?

  • Hahaha…So retro! Brings back memories.

I think it is more like a collection display instead of actually for playing.

  • There are plenty of emulators around for existing consoles. Maybe a good novely, or gift idea.

Judging by the picture, this is only a control pad you connect to the TV

The control pad is packaged in a box which looks like an arcade machine

    • Correct it's just a controller in a fancy box. Plenty of images on google for this, even a review on YouTube, I reckon worth it for $9

    • Yes the console looks like just cardboard packaging. The blue bit is the actual product with a couple of buttons and a joystick built in. $14 delivered is pretty good for a retro thing. An easier retro gaming fix than hauling out my old Commodore Amiga with extra RAM and the side mounted massive 20MB hardrive…

    Great review here

    Keychain size control pad

    Still alright for $9

  • Pickup - Estimated collection: 23/06/2014. Not yet in store??

  • I would like to purchase on install for that price.

How does it connect to the TV? (eg. analogue, composite RCA, HDMI…)

  • Received mine

Tiny little thing - does ok - sound seems a bit off, maybe slower. Could be the master system versions possibly.

    Joystick is usable.

Need to be about max of 1.5-2m away from tv so if your tv has back rca, could be a bit uncomfortable.

All in all, not too bad for $9

Certainly not worth $29 (i think original price).

  • It would've been a good buy for under $10 no strings. The fact you can't click and collect because it's only for orders only $40 (unless purchase $31+ worth of other stuff) or are faced with an additional $5 (I think minimum) postal fee (over 50% of the product cost) makes this a deal-breaker for me.

It's sad because I grew up with sonic, playing it often on my master system and it seems like a great novelty (gift as well).

Is there any reason they don't stock in store? Lack of interest, demand = not worth the shelf space? I would gladly go to a Big W and search the shelves for it (if it was available in-store)

What about emulators? I've been having a great time reliving the gaming days of yesteryear on the PSP Street in transit.

Do you have a Wii? Check out all these retro systems you could be running (with a wireless controller I might add!): http://wiibrew.org/wiki/List_of_homebrew_emulators

      • I had a bunch of things running on my PSP at one point, thanks for the link. I guess it was the novelty factor as well that I found interesting with this. Just disappointing you can't buy it in store (even if it was stocked at only a few stores it would be nice)
