  the logitech drive mount comes with metal squares that you stick to the back of your phone/ phone case.
  i guess as long as your phone/ phone case has a flat back then it will be compatible.

  those with iphone can purchase an additional case which has metal inbuilt into the case so they dont have to use the metal squares.

    plus if the phone case is slim, you can place the metal square inside the case so you've got a clean look and the magnet is strong enough to hold the phone securely

      hmmm…. im so tempted to get this, cause the mount looks so sleek and tidy compared to other windscreen phone mounts currently on the market.
      
      my only concern would be that if you slip the metal squares inside the case that it would mark the back of the phone with an imprint of the square after awhile. especially with the nexus5 and its soft touch back material.
      
      ive seen pictures of wireless charger imprints on the back of a nexus5 with those who placed their phone (without a case) directly on a wireless charger.

Best car mount i've tried so far, got one from JB (mount +case)last month pricematched DS $49,98.DS site says $4.95 for delivery to 2224 so I guess DS' deal is better, I'm tempted to get a mount for wife's car

  I had that and it was not convenient for me. as you would need to adjust the frame to fit the phone.

  Not sure about other states but my following comments apply in Victoria.
  
  Using a mobile phone as a GPS device is not illegal as long as it is in a "commercially designed holder fixed to the vehicle."

  Using any other function on the phone is illegal though.
  
  Basically if you are touching the phone while you are driving, then it is illegal, if the phone is sitting there with GPS then it is OK. No poking at your phone to check SMS / Answer Calls / Emails / Facebook.
